No problem. I follow directions well, I can take my rant else where.;) IMHO, his behavior was not identical, but at least as reprehensible. I am glad he has expressed public remorse for it, but it would be nice if as part of that remorse he shyed away from allowing his handlers to portray the beginnings of his second marraige as a storybook fairytale. He did not have to go into the grimy details during the convention, but he didn't have to present a whitewash either. There could have been several gracious solutions other than what they did.

I also think that people are complex creatures capable of combining good and bad in a single person. He's done lots of good things and admirable things. However, IMHO, the way you treat your family reveals a lot about who you are.

Sanctity of marriage IS a hot button issue for me. Mrs. pied and myself do pre-marital counseling for couples to be married at our church, and I have little time for those that cheat on their spouses.

It's hard to have deal breakers in elections any longer, and to say it is one for me would be a stretch, but it is a consideration and taken into mind w/everything else.

Sometimes good people do bad things, Republican POW's and evil liberals.

Then why the apparent myopic view of things by the two of you......just an observation....divy up the criticism or STHU....it makes you appear to have a bias that the two of you say you don't have....;)

Is there currently someone on the Democratic ticket who has cheated on his spouse (that we know about)?

I am not being cheap on this one. That video seriously :Censor: me off, as someone who actually believes in his family values. I don't like when politicos say one thing at a church and another at the convention.

I knocked Clinton for it and I will knock either of the Dem nominees if something turns up. It would be grossly unfair to talk about something they might have done.

Dude, he's already given up his pound of flesh for that one. From his point of view....maybe it IS a storybook deal....in 20/20 hindsight.

You're 25 or so, right....let's post here again in 20 years and see if you have any ghosts worth talking about...I know I do and I'm considered to be a pretty nice guy.

Yes, I guess he has. He said he was sorry to Rick Warren and gets to keep his millionaire heiress blonde who provided him with his political launch pad. The older model even still likes him, so that makes it all OK.

Taking into consideration that it's illegal for you to have one. I'm comfortable going out on a limb and saying that's a safe bet.

Probably banned his IP address...but if he really wanted to he could pretty easily circumvent his way around that. Plus if you get a new internet provider or you move... new IP. No real possible way.

Oh he has been back... either that or there are some man-crushes pretending to be Wide who PM me claiming to be him. Wouldn't surprise me though...

Wide wouldn't evacuate his house if there was a Cat. 10 hurricane the size of the united states heading straight for it...

How, in the names of all humanity against robert stoops, did wide get into this thread? I guess I shouldn't be surprised any more. We have some talented folks on here! :D

I am sure wide has lurked a time or two, and I have no problem with that if he is still reading the board. Wide has a rolling IP.

Wide has a very defined posting style so when he does post, it is pretty obvious.

It was funny, but after looking again the person wrote too well to be wide :D

I would say Slorch but he'd just tell me with his real username :Music

I'm sure there are zillions of people who strayed by the time they were 50 and made the same claim you made at 25. Relationhips are one of the most difficult things to sustain with all that has to be right to make it work for such a lengthy period.
