He's a Sophomore and comes from a pedigree of great San Antonio players. His brother is a Senior and plays Safety for Madison, but did play some Running back last year as a Junior. Madison has had two other Green's in the backfield in the past in Tony and Gary. Gary at one point held the city TD record himself.
Aaron played on the Freshman and JV teams last year as a Freshman and won the national 110 hurdles in AAU over the summer in his age group. He is the man/child.
Streety (Coach) loves to hand the ball off to this type of player and even though Streety has had a line of backs come through that make most coaches drool this one might be the best ever.
I spoke to Coach Streety a few weeks ago and he said Aaron is still young and learning the Varsity game!
Last week Aaron scored 3 TD against O'C so he now has 12 TDs for the season.
on a side note Aaron does not have his drivers license yet?!?!?
remember he is a Sophomore

Is he gonna have the prototypical size for D1 or is he one of those Jaquizz Rogers types?

He is about 6'0" right now but as Streety will tell you he has yet to grow into the possition...
Let me see if I can find some video as all of the news stations around here are throwing him all over the 10o'clock news right now

I know he isn't 6 foot yet perhaps 5'10. But he has the build, speed and size to be a phenomenal back.

9 TD's is no fluke. Great effort on his part and for the seasons to come.. but show me some film and I'm sure there will be plenty of poor gang tackling, arm tackling.. the city of San Antonio can surely grind out the ball on Offense..but where's the snap crackle pop on defense

Tivy is 4A but ranked number 1 in San Antonio in 4A by the express news. The same Tivy team that just handeled 265 Roosevelt last week and beat Judson last year before Judson went on to play in the State finals. I'm sure we will see a TON of film on this one

It doesn't end there. His dad, Tony Green Sr. was a stud DB at Baylor and his Uncle Gary Green you may remember was a 4/5 time DB pro-bowler in the NFL. and also a cousin that played TE in the league for many years, can not recall his name.

Very low key player that never likes to talk about himself. Season is still young at only two games and he's already putting up what would be considered " Good Season" numbers ! Still VERY young and going to get better, faster and stronger !! Great job Aaron !!!!

Maybe a future whatever he wants to be!:notworthy Madison's got a long road in front of them this season. District starts next week against NB and star linebacker Tom Wort. But, with Aaron Green in the backfield, I feel confident that Madison can hang with the rest of 265a. This kid has a great future on the football field. Great job Aaron!

His point was Green lives in the Judson school district...we all know this has been a long time argument between Judson and Madison fans since the first Green started attending Madison. I don't think he meant any harm in it other than to back his point up with facts.

Info is true...but a father does what he thinks is best for his children...this is the choice he has made and I have talked to others that have talked with him...he does not do it so much in spite or anything...just for what is best for his kids...as we have all done at some time in their lives...I took my oldest out of Judson so that he could play high school baseball...Judson did not want him, but the coach at Roosevelt did...and so he lived with my Mom in Roosevelt district and had a very successful high school baseball career...my youngest was much too talented not to be allowed to play at Judson, so he played football and baseball all the way up to his senior season of baseball where he quit to concentrate on his scholarship in football...that is what I thought was the best for my children, so I did it...oh and just FYI, he did very well against Judson when Roosevelt played against them...

it is well documented all of the Green Boys went to JISD middle schools and transferred to Madison before their freshman year claiming residency with their uncle. UIL deems the move for Athletic reasons and punishes the boys they way they do everyone else. They have to sit out a year of varsity sports.
Why do you think Aaron was playing JV ball last year when Madison's varsity team had 4 running backs on the shelf? Because he had to serve his time just like everyone else that transfers for athletic reasons. You think Streety was not biting at the bit to put him in as a freshman? You think he just got good over the summer? Hell the kid would have qualified for Regionals in the 110 Hurdles last year but had to run JV track! The JV race at dsitrict was sick Aaron crossed the finish line and the next kid had 2 more hurdles to go.
If you want to debate if it's right or wrong take it up with the UIL. He has done the time, he has served what the UIL requires of any student that they deemed transferred for athletic reasons. It's actually not that uncommon as there is a Volleyball player at Churchill playing this year that had to sit out her Junior year.
Now as for posting a 15 year old boys address on the internet, you should be ashamed of yourself. To hide behind a screen name and post something like that is cowardly. I have sent the Admins an email and hope they do the right thing and not only take that post down as it is not public knowledge and borders on privacy laws, but I hope they will ban you for life from this board not for being an idiot but for being a coward!
Maybe before you go you can post your full name address and SS# for all of us to see.

And was involved in a car wreck the night before(God's blessing is upon this child)...he is incredible, no one can take that away...MAN/CHILD certainly fits his style of play, but from what my nephew tells me(who is a good friend of his)...he is as all the Green children are...very grounded and truly polite...that to me makes him even a better runner!!!
P.S. posting of anyones address, phone or any other type of info is wrong...plain and simple...

Speaking of moving from one district to another, I recently heard this story. A kid didn't like his district school (football team), so the parents rented an apartment in another district. The parents claim the apartment as their home of residence, even though they still live in their house in the original district.
Is this legal under UIL rules?

I grew up with Aaron's older cousin and U o' Kansas WR/DB Gary Green. From middle school through high school Gary amazed me with his athletic skill. Hell so did Coach Green (Gary Sr.) But what amazed me most, and why I'm not suprised to see Aaron the same way, is how well their family treats the entire Madison Community. Gary Sr. still attends Madison games with Tony Sr. when Sam Houston isn't playing. There hasn't been a game I've been to where they haven't greeted everyone they see with a smile and some football talk.
Coach Hill from SV called the Greens the "first family of San Antonio football." From Gary Sr. and Tony Sr. to Gary Jr., Tony Jr., Andrew, and Aaron, there isn't a more wonderful family deserving of praise. I'm glad they call Madison home.:notworthy
