I have asked in the past why this place has not had more playoff games, and the answer was the the turf. Well thats changed now. This is a great venue. Access to I 20, I 30, 635, good parking, 20,000 seats, jumbotron TV. I would not be surprised to see many games there. Its great for the east side of the metroplex, East Texas, North and South of the Metroplex. I am sick of Texas Stadium. :(

I look forward to being there this Friday for the Carter/Creekview game.

It's a great location for the re-match of South Garland and Lonview game! It's one of the only stadiums in the Garland area I haven't been to.

I've always loved watching games at Mesquite Memorial, glad to see they finally put in new turf. My all time favorite game was the Garland vs NM 2003... Both came into the game undefeated and were ranked #1 and #2 in the area respectively... one of my favorite games to witness. ;)

Memeorial is a great stadium. I was there for the Garland / NM game in 2003 also. Also saw Lufkin beat NM there in OT.

One of my favorite venues - a little far - but fun. I really like piping the game into the restrooms - and yes, good access.

You can watch the game on TV while standing in line for hot dogs.

I wish Garland ISD could but jumbotrons in our stadiums! They at least need a new scoreboard at Williams... that thing is old.

Hanby is about two miles down the sreet, and has all the bells and whistles that Memorial has, but with about 12,000 seats. Garland-JT Saturday.

Argh! Can we bring up some Memorial Stadium memories for games that we actually won? :) I was there for both games.

How about the year after Garland won state when we ended their 19(?) game winning streak? Our current OL Webb's(Texas committ) little brother (who played LB at A&M) blocked a punt and caught a TD pass. Or did he throw for a TD on a trick play? Hmmm... Good stuff. :)

Geeze Travis, how it the world could you have missed watching a game there? You must not have been watching district games for very long. :D

Mesquite Memorial, nice place except the chairback seating is a little tight and what's up with that strange Doppler Rader Tower looming over the stadium, other than that, a cool place to play football.

I know some folks that plan on going to the South, Lv game for the first half, then driving a couple miles to Hanby for the 2nd half of the Lee- Garland game (that game most likely will still be in undecided at the half). Should be seats available. Hmmm.
