Who is going to win this matchup? O'Connor with no problem. Memorial still looking for consistency and winning record. Wait til next year is their cry. Jay & Carroll should be a high scoring affair, but Jay will prevail.

I don't think Jay and Carroll will be a shootout, I think Jay steam rolls Carroll. They are way too dominant for the CC school to handle. Also the OC Memorial game should be interesting to see. I don't know how this young OC team will respond after getting the wind knocked out of them last week. Anyone know if the Vipers are as BIG as they were last year? Do they still have that monster Full back?

I think that your kids will respond just fine with the coaching they get! In fact, that game 10 loss might be just what the Dr. ordered to get them thinking straight again after the started kicking some A$$! Who cares if they still have that monster fullback or not because I say that OC will whack em'!
More importantly for OC, how is your Jr. QB turned TB doing (TJ Horny)? I think that having him healthy for this post season is what is important to OC to keep the offense going!

Well, Oconnor has to be the favorite just because they are Oconnor and Victoria has tough times beating SA teams....But remember the Vipers aren't going to go down without a fight. They lead Oconnor in the 3rd Q last year before falling apart....and it also took Clark a last minute TD to win over the Vipers 15-9 earlier in the year and the Vipers have improved a lot since then.
I'll support my team win or lose, but I know the Vipers have a tough test in front of them.
I want Jay to beat Carroll just because I hate Carroll :D

I'm going with O'Connor, but I don't see the blowout that some do. I think the Vipers are better this year and O'Connor is worse.
RedRage00, remember this post. I'm pretty sure it's the nicest Victoria post ever from me....
until I say 58-24! :p

I would worry about getting past Seguin first. I hope the Rockets underestimate Seguin....

True, I do hope it woke them up. Horny is doing fine, It was just a deep bruise, but it looks fine. We are also FINALLY getting our original starting TB Casonova back. IT will be a good mix up to throw out there. He is small and quick! Seems to be able to pop out of pile ups. I can't wait!

Promise you, RR, Rockets aren't underestimating Seguin. O'Connor will beat Victoria by 4+ TD's. Panthers are young, but will bounce back after last week and get on the winning side for one more week.

I don't think O'Connor should worry to much. Victoria Memorial is still a major work in progress. They have some good athletes, but I don't see them matching the level of play that the San Antonio teams are used to. Although Victoria played O'Connor better than I thought they would last year. I'll take O'Connor 28 - 10 !!

4+ TDs?? I don't think so. This isn't the same Oconnor team as last season. The only team to beat us that bad (44-15) was Pearland and they are much better than Oconnor. Remember, we hung close with Clark (a playoff team in your district) and it took them a TD with a minute left to win. And that was before we had our #1 QB playing. The Vipers are playing a lot better than they were early in the season. I'm not saying they are going to win, but I know they are going to come out ready to play. They are not gonna lay down to Oconnor just because they are Oconnor.

Don't fret. We don't mind being underestimated. This will just add fuel to the fire.

It definately is a huge advantage to have a team underestimate you! But, don't count on that because Padron will have the Panthers ready to play. Should be a great ball game between two good teams but you know that we have to take our SA area boys in it. If Memorial should win the region, we'll support you like one of our own! Good luck

Thanks Clemens. We know that it is going to take whatever we have to pull through this region. It is tough, and have not proven ourselves worthy against the SA schools the past 2 years. This year we are coming in more focused and to have fun, yet be serious about the game. O'Connor is a great technique team and well coached, but that also makes it easier for us because we can know how the LBs trigger, the DL shifts & stunts, the Tex Blitz, and obviously a few new running/passing plays we installed this week just for them (never ran before all season or the season before). Anyways it will be a great game and our morale is high.
