What determines what side a teams fans will sit on?
I'm going for all the games Saturday and want to be sure I'm on the Dragons side through out the day.

I was down at Pennington field this morning and the guy told us to (Trinity) enter through gate 8 or the East side. I think! I may be wrong though that we 6-5A will be on that side. :D

Ok, so it's a district thing?
That makes it easy if they put 5-5a on onside all day and 6-5a on the other.
Makes perfect since, guess I shoulda realized that from years past.

Carroll is always on the 114 side, with Ryan and F-Ridge playing there to it would make sense to put those fans on the 114 side which would be the west side.

And why is Carroll "always" on the 114 side?

And why is Carroll "always" on the 114 side?
They get special treatment because they are the "rich" neighborhood school.
Rich people always get their way.

suggestion to people coming from West of Texas Stadium on 183.....
Take the Carl Rd. exit. Turn left on Carl Rd.
Go to where it dead ends at Northgate. Take a right.
Go to where Northgate dead ends. Take a right.
Take your first left. This is the little road that goes over Loop 12 and into Texas Stadium. Nobody goes this way. Have been going this way for 15 years and always go right into the stadium with no hassles.

There is a very simple explanation why SLC is on the 114 side of Texas Stadium. For the past several years, Texas Stadium has been having a Sat. bi-district tripleheader between districts 5 and 6. Since the District 5 teams all come from North and West of Irving, their fans arrive by 114. The District 6 teams typically come from West on 183. You act as if it really matters which side a team is on in TS. It doesn't. They are exactly the same. Stop being so cynical.

I wonder what would happen if the "other" team wanted to sit on the 114 side.. I wonder if the rich folks.. uh.. i mean SLC would allow that to happen?

If you are coming down 114, you can take a right on Tom Braniff Dr. Take a left on Texas Plaza Dr. Usually there is a cop there at Texas Plaza Dr. where the feeder road comes in from Loop 12 and he waves you right in.

of course now that I think about it, most Irving Mac fans will go up Northgate to get to Texas Stadium. That whole area is Mac's district and the high school backs up to Northgate.
But it is still the easiest way to get into the stadium.

I'll be going early and hope to see all 3 games in their entirety so hopefully I'll miss most of the IMac crowd.

SLC is the home team vs. IMac, but we are sitting on the visitor's side.

Thanks a lot Butch, now one of the best kept secrets is out :)
We have been doing this for years, we come in on 114, and cut throught UD, it is a lot better than sitting in line. It usually takes us about 10 mins max to get into the stadium once we turn on Tom Braniff.

i thought long & hard about it and figured that there wouldn't be enough people reading this thread to make a difference. plus, I live out of state now, so now I don't get to go to the games, so I don't care if everyone else goes that way :)
i even went that way when I went to the UT-CU Big 12 championship game a few years ago. I parked on the other side of Loop 12 and just walked over the bridge. it was not bad at all.

I did that same thing several years back for a sold out concert at TS. Worked out great.
