Well I went to the game thinking this was going to be a good one, well I was wrong. Judson really dominated the game from start to finish. Judson had a total of 412 yards of offense and Warren had a total of 208 yds total. The score was a lot closer than the game was. Those 3 field goals should have been TD's and then Judson's QB decided he would fumble the ball on the 1yd line so that was another TD that didn't happen so say it should of been about 35 to 12. This is the best running Judson team that I have seen in a while much better than last year's team. But the down side is there is no I mean no passing on this judson team this year. Judson will have to establish a passing game if they want to beat Trinity this year in the title game. If not you will see a similar game again this year just not in san antonio but in houston. Judson better hold onto these first 3 games and remember what it is like to play a good team because their district will only provide maybe 2 good games for them.

We got a GREAT WR core with Adrian Morgan and Michael Hilliard but they need a good QB. There were to many sacks that WEREN'T the OL's fault.

There were to many sacks that WEREN'T the OL's fault.Ok let's see, Cody Boswell (#10) threw the ball really well tonight. I think he went 3 for 3 and would have like to see him throw more. Chris Patton (#5) didn't due so hot throwing the ball, although I think that he controls the huddle and the team better. But to say that Judson has no passing game is ridiculous. I feel that Chris Patton will be used more on the option plays ( which I liked seeing in the play book) and Cody Boswell will be used more on passing plays. Rocketman also mentioned the play at the 1 yd line where the QB fumbled the ball. Chris Patton took one hell of a hit on that play while he was stretching the ball out trying to reach the goal line. It was either try and have a chance to score, or not try and not have a chance to score. I will take his choice any day of the week because he gave himself a chance to score. Overall this was a great game for the Rockets. The defense was hitting hard, forceing turnovers, and plugging most holes.

Like I said earlier if Judson is going to win a title this year they will need a passing game too. Running game looks great..............Judson will not beat the likes of Trinity, Plano or some of the others unless they have a balanced attack. I also don't care for the 2 QB system I feel you need to go with one guy and let him be your leader of the offense. Just my opinion......... For example look back at every team that has won a state title at Judson, each team had a pretty good passing game or good balance.

I don't know what Judson team you have been watching, but the one I have watched the past 25 years including "every playoff game" has never had a standout Quarterback who provided a standout passing game. Never had a Quarterback who went on to play Division I ball. That not saying we have not had some good quaterbacks who got the job done and fit well into the Judson run orientated system. Good to see the season get started, I'm not sure Warren desearved that #2 rating, but we will take the win and look forward to another strong test next week.

I did like that! He didn't back down and he took a tough hit for that and we almost scored off the fumble so that wasn't a total disaster. It was 4th and 1 and if we jammed it down their throats we would have turned it over anyways.

Chieftom just to let you know I played on one of the state title team's so I know a lot about Judson football. Yes Judson has had very good passing QB's look at the state title teams , Lets see QB's 83 Team Allan Deer very good passer, 88 team Jinks and Ramey very good passer's , The teams in the 90's Rutledge he was a pretty good passer and 2002 team was so so. Sorry but Judson is going to have to find a some what of a passing game if there are going to win a title this year................

Damn that was one good game last night. I personally like the 2 quarterback system. One is good with the passing option the other is good at the hand offs.

Don't tell everyone about the seperate QB's - that could be a secret - JK.
The Rockets have a better passing game going on than what I was expecting. Rocketman, you are sounding really critical after a good showing last night. It's still early in the season.

Just need a heady guy that knows when to run, when his WR is covered an does not turn the ball over.

You can't base what needs to be done on the past 25 years. The game evolves every team in Texas used to run the ball but now look at the teams that are always winning the championship they have a either very balanced run/pass team or a heavy passing team.Every team needs to throw the ball well like this one.....http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=judson+2002&hl=en&emb=0#

I think more of the sacks were the OL's fault then weren't. When the QB doesn't even get to his rollout spot before he has 3 guys bearing down on him then I have to think the O line didn't do their job. Good news for Judson fan is that it is only the first game and those things can be fixed. Not to mention that there seems to be some potential for a decent enough passing game.

How was Warren's defensive player that's committed to UT? I don't remember the name but I know the SA-EN was hyping him this week... how did the O-Line deal with him (I don't think he was a coverage LB)? It sounds like they won't see anyone better than him this year.

I've never seen such a swing of emotions as in this game. 17 seconds...17!!! God, the Midland faithful were heartbroken. I cheered like it was Madison out there! But, that's what a passing team can do to you. There can be one second left on that best of friends or worst of enemies. Teams with a good passing game still have a shot. And, against teams like Plano and ET, Judson is going to need all the shots it can get. DEVELOP A PASSING GAME!! That strong showing against Warren last night can turn into several weeks of State Championship caliber performances.

My opinion...overall a "B"...times of looking great, Offense and Defense, but my word would be sloppy...they did have 400+ yards of Offense(against the #1, according to KSAT 12) team in the city and supposed to be the #2 defense in the city,
Truthfully we could have scored around 40, not 23...but that's OK...we are always slow starters, but the hipe about Warren's Defense is greatly over rated...they have one kid #99, 9I think) longhorns signee...and we ran at him some and he is good, I'll admit that, but Chauncey Harris #33 and Gabe Hillard #30, with the help of blocking by #32 Elliot Hudson...looked great...nice to see that...
not to toot my own horn, ok to toot my horn...I was one of the first coaches Chauncey had...Coached him from 7 yrs. old until he was 12 yrs. old...sorry Lord for my selfishness, but I was proud to see him run...we look like we will only get better with time...
But that is just one man's opinion:):):)

Judson's running backs made a statement last night...we may have lost Mitchell Swann, but there is a new Sheriff (s) in town and there names are...Harris, Hillard and Hudson..."the 3 H's"...
we got to do something with that...I just realized they all have a last name starting with H
OK, I am old and just got that...no sarcasm RedRage...
