2 PM Saturday at Mesquite Memorial stadium.

John Tyler plays at 2 PM also against Garland at Mesquite's Hanby Stadium.

Thanks--I had a chance to see Longview play Mesquite and North Mesquite since they had to come to Mesquite. They are pretty stout. That DE that is going to A&M (#45 I think) is quick!

By the way, at the North Mesquite game I noticed that the other end wasn't playing (#46 Saddler, I think?!?). Anyone know what happened with him? I remember noticing him a lot during the Mesquite game because I thought he was a great compliment to #45.

I wonder if he failed! Man, it kills me how these kids (especially college bound ones) let their class work slip!

Longview has a pretty good rotation at DE. He may be injured or he upset a coach and just wasn't rotated in.

I don't remember anyone failing.

You think Longview will be killed next year RR?

BTW JV was 8-2 not that it means anything but I highly doubt we'll be 'killed' next year.

OO and another note..Longview played Tyler Lee three teams on the JV level...beating them all three times.

Yeah with D'marcus Miles, Jazmon Moon, and Mark Johnson coming back for next years backfield, I don't see any slowing down. They're all getting a lot of plays in this year becuase of some blowouts.

Saddler was a backup player and when our two LBs were injured he took the place of TJ Norris who was moved to linebacker. he played some in the JT game. he did a good job.

Not sure why we have been hearing this all year. Longview will lose a lot of seniors but pretty sure the Lobos will reload. And they dont have to worry about all their players moving to John Tyler.

no, that wouldn't happen in a million years...once you wear the green, you can't change to that ugly blue and gold, or that depressing light blue at SH--LOL...on that note, there are several of those players trying to transfer in to Longview...those people over there are miserable!!..same goes for White Oak.......really not that many "quality" athletes at these surrounding highschools in Longview(one or two from each school, maybe??)...seems like the line stops west of loop 281??kind of like nac. and Lufkin...you guys are always so much better than Nac...but yet, both towns are really close to one another...doesn't make sense sometimes....

hey bleed...
ever know a girl named Misty Humphrey...or Humphries...?
She was married to a good friend of mine when I was in the Navy...
she was from Jefferson..but she went to Longview High...

It was weird...my buddy was from Centerville...and when I met his wife...the first thing she says is "You're from Lufkin?......you suck"
I knew right then...she was either from Nacogdoches ...or Longview.

Couldn't of put it better.

How bad do you have to feel right now if you play for Pine Tree...

2-8 Overall...2-5 in District...BUT those two wins came from forfeits. Whitehouse and Jacksonville had to forfeit their wins over Pine Tree.

So you're a PT senior you and your kid are talking one day and he asks you what was your record your senior year in high school..

Well we were 2-8 but the two wins were given to us.

LMFAO!

I don't even think it would be close if Longview still had their LBs from early in the season. Didn't they both get hurt against Marshall?

Slim, Tony Johnson and Antwone Guinn (think that was his name), got injured against WM. Guinn tore his ACL, he won't be back. Johnson broke his arm, I believe he was back for the JT game, or should be back for the playoffs. The doctors cleared him to play last week I believe. The blowouts have happened with the backups in for those positions. They've moved some off of the D line to LB, and done some other moves. Chris Ivory, our starting FB is a 2nd string LB, as well as several other players that play on both offense and defense during the course of the games, especially the routs.

I'm ready for Saturday to get here.
