It's a good thing the Cowboys were deep at RB, but it still means they want the #5 guy from Dallas at best! :D

TO just wants to be paid. He wants to win, too. He's got some baggage, but he's not as bad as everybody makes him out to be. I'd take him in Dallas!

You would never want TO, trust me. The Eagles organization is completly tainted right now becasue of him. Him and Bill would deff. not coexist. And I can't even imagine him and Keyshawn in the same locker room.

Rookie Sam Gado (26 carriers-62 yards) and Brett led GB to another respectable lose. Lee had 2 carries and 3 yards...

Playing in the NFL...
I met T.O. twice.....he was a cool cat!
That said...
Yes, he wants his money and mostly he feels he's been wronged, in some way, by the orginization. And I'll tell you this, Phili's front office isn't known for being up-front and honest. I know THAT, PERSONALLY!!
My take is...if Owens is given his money, and shown respect, he'll play....and he'll make you love to have him as a teammate!
And NO....he's not as bad as everyone thinks he is.
BTW,
I'm glad he fought Douglas. It's rule of thumb...in the locker room or on the field, or anywhere - for that matter, if someone challenges you, be it words or fists, you step up, period! And in the league you usually want these things to stay in house!!! Douglas had no business stepping up to T.O.!!!
Also....
I think most people/fans refuse to understand T.O. because they believe these "hip hop thugs"(or at least that's what they think of them) in the NFL or NBA are making far too much money, anyways! Plus T.O. speaks from his mind and heart, and most people who suffer at jobs -they hate -, everyday, can't speak to their bosses that way, for fear of being fired! I think most people hate the "power" these athletes have, or think they have! So we, as athletes, know that and honestly disregard most of the outside stuff!
Fact is...
T.O. is worth the money and the Eagles put a crap-contract in his face, knowing he wanted out of the San Fran-Baltimore situation. They pulled some car-salesman crap and T.O. signed it thinking he was going to produce, on the field, and within the year they would restructure his contract.....of which they then said NO! (I should know, I have first hand experience!) "Hey, we've got one of the top 5 players in the NFL on our team....and we're paying him nowhere near what he could/should be making! I say let him play![with a wicked a** smile on their face]" - Joe (Banner) and Jeff (Lurie) probably said.
And now they want T.O. to act like a good little monkey and produce on the field so "massa" can be happy! BULLSH**!!!!
As an ex-athlete (knowing what it's like behind closed doors! knowing what the real NFL is about!).....I'm right there with you T.O.! Hope you get your money and leave the sorry a** Eagles to their own!

Haha I a agree and I am sure that you would know the situation better then I. But as a former Philadelphian I can relate to the whole situation. Straight up, Philly fans hate TO when he is not scoring touchdowns. He disrespects them by saying he doesn't have enough money to feed his family and that whole saga.
Lurie and Banner are buisnessman. If I wanted to make a list of all the ******** moves they have pulled it would be endless. The whole Jeremiah Trotter situation would be at the top though. They finally did something good by re-signing the guy who busts his *** week in and week out for them - Brian Westbrook.
I say screw TO.- Reggie Brown, Greg Lewis, LJ Smith, Westbrook is all we need.

Lonny, there would be a bounty on his a$$ here in Dallas, along with one on Jones for signing him. That was almost blasphemy!! :D
I'm not as optimistic on him as you. I think he is the type player that is a cancer on a good team. A screw-up waiting to happen. He can't keep his mouth shut. A quality associated with a moron.
Yes, he's smart, but he's too stupid to shut up. The embodiment of the "greedy Pro". JMHO.

I respect your assessment! Hope the players and fans have a great season, however the orginization (i.e...Banner and Lurie) can go jump in a freezing cold lake!
T.O. knows what I'm talking about!
(And the whole "I need to feed my family" stuff is partially true. The fact is you guys hear 5 or 7 Million a year and you think.."Wow! That's 5,000 times more than I make a year!" However, professional athletes see less than half that money! And then they buy 5.5 Million dollar homes, cars and much more -with the hope that the contract will provide the future setup! With that said, players like T.O. make plenty of money...but it's just the principle of the situation. Human nature!! Example: You work at a job making 16 dollars an hour, but you know someone else - in the same position title, and at the same company, as you - is making 22 dollars an hour. If you are recognized as being as productive, if not more productive, as the other guy why shouldn't you be making the same amount of money?!....if not more?! And a few miles down the road someone is doing the same work as you and the other guy, but he's making 10 dollars an hour and he's saying, "Hey, I'd love to make 16 dollars an hour!"......and he makes the transaction, only to find himself with the same attitude, and in the same position, a year later! It's just human nature to desire more, especially if you feel you're worth it!)

But Great, he signed the extension the year before. He knew what it said. He was fine with the money at that point. If he didn't want it he shouldn't have signed it, and if he signed it, he should shut up. Period. It's called charachter, and it is a quatilty that players who do the things he has done dont' have much of, and our society is lacking as a whole, partially due to athletes like TO showing our kids how not ot act, though they think it's the cool way to act. Sad, in my opinion.

The contract situation is not as clear cut as you guys think! Their are many different things said, assumed and promised!

Hah true about the bussines. But it is pretty obvious that TO has issues with his contracts. Didn't he and his agent foreget to file for Free Agency? That is how the whole Bal/Phil situation arose. I can understand how the contracts are worded and how the owners are.
