[Mac Is Back]

I doubt anyone cares, but the 2005 M&M Bowl was easily one of the better games I've seen since the 2004 State Championship game in Dallas between SV and SLC. Madison built a 13 point halftime lead, only to watch it crumble under two unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter that put Mac up 27-26 entering the fourth. The victory was well within reach only 30 seconds into the fourth when Mac scored a 10 yard drive to build a 34-26 lead. Madison overcame the deficit with under a minute to play to force overtime, where Mac's field goal attempt was wide and Madison finally scored on a 6 yard run. Tough loss, but a great game. Awesome way to end the season for either team. Mac's defense really impressed me with several forced turnovers on downs, along with a blocked punt in the first quarter that led to Mac's first touchdown. Both teams played phenomenally well.

Great season for the Brahmas, good luck to Madison in the playoffs.

MacArthur always shows up for this game! It is one of the best rivalries around the city. It's a great way to end the season even if it doesn't change anything for either team. Best of luck to Mac next year.

Yes, great game by both teams. It was interesting that Streety kept his starters in for the entire game and OT. I guess he felt it was important to beat Mac before the playoffs.

Anyways, Mac should be good next year. They will return around 15 starters and a few starters who were injured and maybe they can make the top 4. But that's next year.
