Although Earl Thomas looks to have one spot locked up at saftey, Blake Gideon has been listed as a co starter by Mack Brown along with Christian Scott. Now i wanna know who outside of Leander thought this could possibly happen, because i even had my doubts. Sure Blake is an outstanding player, and i've seen him since he was a Freshmen in high school, but i honestly didnt expect him to get it this fast.

me either... I want to see if hes going to be able to play the game like an upperclassmen rather than a true freshman... I know hes a stud... but I'll wait to see how he does come game time...

Yep I thought Christian Scott or Ben Wells would win that Position.

I watched him singlehandedly take over a game last year. Starting as a freshman is pretty unheard of though.

I dont know if your talking about his game against AMC, because i didnt get to see that game, but if your talking about the Leander vs Pflugerville game last year he most certainly took that game over. Reggie Hodges did have 242 rushing yards, but Blake had his best ever game in a high school uniform against the panthers on state wide tv. I always thought that was pretty cool.
