On Friday I'll be heading to GPISD stadium from the Medical Center. Is the Wallisville exit from Beltway 8 N the best approach to the stadium? And which direction does the visitor entrance to the stadium face?

Here's a map to draw on if you have a better approach and exit route, feel free to spot the locations of some good parking lots too! Hopefully I'll get there early enough I can park in the stadium lot. :D

If the visitor parking gets filled up, there will be shuttles going from San Jacinto College to your gate.

There should be plenty of Constables out there if you get lost. But unlike The Berry Center, our stadium crew makes you feel welcome.

What's the best way coming from Sugar Land?

I take I-10 to the Uvalde exit (779 A). Uvalde to Wallisville then turn right to visitor parking entrance.

I-10 to beltway 8 (north) and exit wallisville. The stadium is about a 1-1.5 miles down on the right. I would either go that way or I-10 to Uvalde and go up Uvalde (3-4 miles) to Wallisville and hang a right.

Both Wallisville or Uvalde will be a nightmare to go down on a Friday at 6pm.

Don't know about "best", especially in this city, but I'd say 59 N to I-10 (exit Uvalde or Beltway N) would be the best shot. Stay on Uvalde until you see Wallisville, then turn right to the stadium. If on Beltway, Exit Wallisville and go left to stadium.

One of the truer statements ever written on this site. Everyone at Galena Park was very accommodating Friday night ... custodians even joked to those of us still working in the press box around 11 about if any of us knew how to jump a 6-foot wall to get out! At the Berry Center, you'd probably get a scowl from anyone if you were there past 30 minutes past the end of the game. :)
