Start spewing stats, SLC hasn't faced a real defense since East. Hell Grapevine almost beat them with their glaring amount of yardage.

Not sure if your response was directed at the more enthusiastic posters or not; I was merely posting a number. As to who faces real defenses anywhere in the metroplex.... they are few and far between. There are only 20 teams who gave up less than 300 yards per game (5a schools in DFW area). Only 7 gave up less than 250. Everything runs in cycles and for several years the offenses have been ahead of the defenses. 5-5a had 4 of the 8 schools in the first 35 DFW 5-a schools (out of 65-68 area schools -- not sure what number is correct; have seen 3 different ones for total.) You can only play who is on your schedule and down the road who ever reaches the line on the bracket you are in. Over the last several years SLC has done a pretty good job at dealing with whatever team that is. BTW -- Grapevine was definitely no slouch. They missed the playoffs on the points differential formula; with the number 2 passer in yardage (Headley) and the #5 total offense in the 5A metroplex area they were a very good team.
