Round Rock has a good rb named Chris Johnson (imo the 2nd best rb in the district behind Antwan Cobb), and if he had a better line that might be another story. They also have a wr James Kirkendoll that will probably be getting the offers rolling in by this time next year since he is only a junior. They have a fairly fast qb that was able to get into our secondary a few times with his feet. They've changed alot obviously since we've played them but their defense wasnt very good at all at that time. I don't think they are the 3rrd best team in our district although their record proves, i think they caught alot of people off guard and just got in but they shouldnt pose much of a threat to Hays. Offensively they are talented but so are you guys and you should easily be able to at least match them point wise with their defense. Yall will win by 2 tds.

Longview can hurt you with Vondrell McGee at RB, Chris Ivory at FB, and Carlin Freeman at QB. Both runners can also catch, and Freeman can run if he has to. They run the option pretty well. The Lobos defense just LOVES to hit the receivers hard. I am not sure on the turnover margin this year, but it has to be somewhere around +15, if not +20. The D had 3 INT's and 3 fumble recoveries last night against John Tyler.
The big question really is the secondary, but they have stepped up to the challenge every week and played some very good games.
Bottom line, IF Longview comes to play their game, and they don't let up, the game will be over by the half. If not, it could be a long night, but the Lobos have the heart and character to pull out the wins late. Wether it's by 2 points, or 2 TD's, they go for the win.

that depends upon the opponent, there will be teams that we will come to play and have to do it the whole game...it wont always be easy....lets not start that again.............

Kingwolf, I wasn't trying to start anything again. Just stating a fact that I've seen. After last night, I think the Lobos WILL come to play every game. It was electric last night. If they just execute the way they, and us fans, know they can, it should be interesting. I'm ready for the first round.

Have you tried reading some of the old threads on this board. There have been dozens of threads since the beginning of the season about each of the teams on your list ......

this is assuming we make it to the 3rd round and so do y'all here is all the info on hays
We have a very talented RB in amadeus wauters who dosent touch it all the time but when he does he averages 8.3 yds per carry,at QB we have nash mcpheeters who can burn you running or passingin 115 attempts he has 1 interception and 13 touchdowns.our top receiver is donny joseph who has caught 21 balls for 52 yards.on defense we have a basic -3 formation and our top defensive players are DT Brandon Rizo and LB's Michael Yanez,Zach Rhoades,Taylor keith and at CB we have Karl Sonntag who is also our 2nd best receiver,so usually we have a close 1st quarter and then pull away.so look out

You might try the Search button at the top of this board if others feel the topic has been beat to death.

sorry man I thought we were starting the ALL WORLD thing again....
Hays we have to worry about a scrappy SG team, we can't even see that far ahead....and Lobo9498 was just stating what has happened this year (which i misunderstood) not directed to what would happen IF we were to meet..........

Kingwolf, it's cool. I am in no way saying we are ALL WORLD. I have been one of the fans that has kept a somewhat level head this year on the boards. Yeah, I am an avid Lobo fan, but I know we have to win one game at a time. I was there for the big head in 1997. I was a Senior in the band that year and I was one of the ones that just assumed we would roll in the State game. Why wouldn't we? Boy did we get a wake-up call in that game. I do believe this team is special, and IF we play like we did against JT, we will be a tough opponent to beat. I am in no way saying we'll roll to the state title. We have a long road. As long as we play well, and stay healthy, we have a shot.
The playoffs should be wild this year.

I would not worry about Longview. Vondrell mcgee and Chris ivory have transfered, Freeman the three year starter at qb is now throwing with his left hand, we have a tightend who is 4'6" tall 100 puonds he is fast his forty time is slow about 5.5 but he gets faster as he runs and our receiver is equally as short now he is quick the quickest player on our team he sports a eye popping 4.8 forty...and the first eleven guys who get to the game start on defense...you have no need to worry about the Lobos and the national ranking we have held all season long is because i know the prep nation guys...if you don't know about us, then I would have to say WELCOME TO PLANET EARTH
