So wait. Now Baylor is a better football school than A&M because they got a recruit from us? But since we beat them in baseball, they're still better because they won games in the past? Wasn't that the point of your argument of Baylor being a baseball school? That they shouldn't be beating us in football? Well, they're not. They got one recruit. Big freaking deal. I guess it is for Baylor, though.

Sorry, I don't believe in celebrating wins that happened before I was born, but I don't need to against Baylor. I think A&M has lost to Baylor ONCE in my lifetime in football. So don't even think about saying they're a better football school than A&M.

What is a recruiting pitch at Baylor anyway? "We went .500 when covering spreads last year!" Or, "We had more attendance at home games than the away team did!" Seriously... Is it such a big deal that A&M lost a recruit? We've got like 24 others...

Second, do you know Baylor's record vs A&M all-time? Or over the past 20 years? Either way, it's pathetic to bring up wins of the past, but I guess it's all that sips have to hold onto.

The third funny thing, is something we've talked about many times. You can laugh all you want at me being "aggy". Laugh me all the way to the bank. :notworthy

So wait. The pitch is that if you go to A&M you'll regress? Under Fran, that was true. But how exactly do you progress at Baylor? Who was the last person to be successful in the pros from Baylor? Matt Bryant the kicker?

And either way, whether he's 2nd, 3rd, or 4th string, he was a second round draft pick and got plenty of guaranteed money. So there goes Baylor's apparent recruiting pitch that players could end up like Martellus.

Upon further review, Tellis is indeed listed as second team TE. How he passed Tony Curtis is beyond me. (Probably why I don't work for the Pokes...)

I agree, there is NO reason for a$m to beat BAylor for a recruit, especially one that has a former a$m player for his coach, at a position Sherman coached at a$m and in the NFL.

Those are the big questions in my opinion. I'm a sip though.

I didn't say all THAT. I of course would have liked to have had this kid, and am disappointed we lost him. But the cheap shots could have been saved...

I never said that you did, I made those statements. You should be disappointed, I know that I would be PISSED.

a$m should never lose players that were committed to Baylor. Only exceptions are legacy deals.

Ha, I have no clue where you get the idea that I am bragging or coming across as arguing a double standard. The problem that I have is with "TreeFiddy" making errant claims such as "Baylor has never landed a 4*"... If you are going to throw out facts, do a fact check... do research, know your stuff.... errant claims makes one lose credibility.

I would not call that bragging, rather an observation. Log on and check out Texas Ags... there are multiple posts/threads that are very similar to what I quoted with regards to recruits not selecting A&M.
