Wow, they should have without a doubt the easiest path to win their region. Let's take a look.
Fossil Ridge: 2nd place team out of 5-5a which wasn't very strong this year. They will be disposed of by the 1st quarter.
Arlington/Plano East: Average teams from average districts. Plano East's defense could stop Trinity but won't beat it, and Arlington has a pretty weak defense and will be done at halftime.
Mansfield Summit: Padded their record against one of the weakest districts in Region 1. They did take SGP, Trinity's only loss, into overtime and lost by 4, but 8 weeks makes a huge difference. Their defense is good but not good enough to let their offense keep up.
Once they get this far they could face Austin Westlake, A&M Consolidated, The Woodlands are most likely. 3 teams they should beat.
Championship is a different story. North Shore/Westfield will be a challenge.

I think that Berkner will play Trinityin the semifinal, but their one-dimmensional offense will probably make it hard for them to beat Trinity.

I would love to see the Haka vs Spring Westfield in the Reliant Stadium for the state championship.

It does look like Region I is ripe for Trinity. Look at the upper portion of the bracket -- 3 of the 4 teams have losing records.

Hey BellBoy, I was at the Fossil Ridge game last night and they are not to be taken lightly. They hustled better than any team I have seen this year. They played as well as anyone in our district last night. Hopefully they are peaking and we will see a great game. I assure you Bell would be no match what so ever against Fossil.

As an objective observer at the game with allegiance to neither Ridge or Ryan, I thought Ryan played well below what I have seen earlier in the year. May have been tied to the fact that Ryan already had their playoff seed wrapped up and Ridge had to win to get in. Ridge did what they had to, but I would not bank on that game as an indication of what to expect in the playoffs. A slight correction to BHS observation that RIdge was the #2 team in the district --- actually based on the point differential formula they are number 3 as far as playoff seeding goes.

Why do you think Trinity should beat A & M Consolidated, The Woodlands, or us easily? Have you been reading too much of the metroplex hype? We play pretty good football in some other parts of the state, too.

I know its kind of meaningless, but the common opponent for Fridge/Trinity:
Irving High(7th place team out of 6-5a)
Irving 23, Fossil Ridge 20
Trinity 50, Irving 14

Hey as u mentioned bhs alot can change from nondistrict to district. Fossil ridge has a stud at running back in Larry Carter-Holmes, and the very skilled at running the spread. Most importantly as evident by taking it to Denton Ryan from start to finish the play hard as a team. On top of that this is the playoff and their cannot be a game taken lightly.

Well put Trojan Horse 03, This is a new season, everyone is 0-0 and no one can be taken for granted.

Baylor Dad, not sure why you would call him "BellBoy"......and where did he say that Bell would beat Fossil? He has given some pretty good insight this year and I don't appreciate you somewhat attacking him. Thought most of the Trojan fans were better than that.

If you know it is meaningless then why post common opponents scores.
You did not see the Irving/Ridge game so you do not know what happened.
Ridge gave that game to Irving with 4 turnovers. (still could have won in spite of the 4 turnovers).
Gave the game to Grapevine with 2 interceptions that went for touchdowns. (Including Grapevine's game winner).
I am not saying that Ridge is better than Trinity - SGP or IMAC. But they would probably place 4th in 6-5a.

He called him "Bell Boy" cause he's from Bell, and because it's funny.

Gee, That’s a pretty insightful statement. I can see why you would run to his defense after such a vicious attack.
Come on buddy, it gets a lot worse than that in here. Let’s not get our feelings hurt over nothing.

BD & TH 03.....You're right to worry about each playoff opponent and not take anyone for granted. That said, however, even the most pessimistic Trojan fan has to be smiling about how the D1 bracket lays out for you all.
I know I will be very surprised and disappointed not to see ET playing on TV in 5 weeks and I suspect you will be too.......Good luck!! :)

We turned the ball over 4 times against Irving also and still won. I think they would have done better had we not won that game. They lost their last 6 games.

Did Irving's big back play.. he was suspended for one or more games but I don't know which ones.

No he did not, but in his place they just threw to their good wide reciever more than in other games. I don't think he would have made a difference because the year before we held him to under 100 yards and his backup running back didn't do a thing against us.

Needless to say, you haven't read all of his posts where he has continously ragged on Trinity including some very derogatory remarks. You may be right, most of the Trojan fans may have more class than I do. He did not say Bell would beat Fossil. I stated Fossil could beat Bell.

In a 3 point loss to Bell I think the absence of the 3rd leading rusher in the area (~1,800 ydes on the season) would have made a difference (IMHO). The fact that they did pass more than normal shows they immediately went away from their normal game strategy. I think you got them at the right time.

That made Irving one diminsional. Irving is not a good passing team.
If I recall correctly Evans had 100 yards against Bell Last year. Quit getting so touchy because your team sucks. Bell would lose to Ridge - Grapevine and Colleyville Heritage. They would be in a dog fight with Haltom.
I think Ridge is about equal to Coppell.

I disagree. I think Ridge would beat Coppell.
I know Coppell has gotten alot better since the SC game but I still think their too one dimensional. As soon as the Dragons contained Moody, the Cowboy O sputtered.
In Bishop you guys have a much better QB (IMO) and a very good RB in Carter-Holmes. FRidge is more capable of taking what the defense is giving.
Of course that dosen't mean they will be able to handle the Trojans but, I'm pretty sure the game won't be decided in the 1st quarter.
