Pardon my french, but why the F is Vince Young in the game up 48-0, let alone 34-0? I love Mack most of the time but this is beyond ********. I love how we're playing, but there's absolutely no reason #10 should have been on the field after the first score of the second half. I don't care what his reasoning is, it's stupid.

I agree with you. The only thing that I can think is he's trying to get V. Young some Heisman stats in trash time.

Maybe, but that's totally out of character for Mack. Vince, I'm sure, doesn't want to come out, but it's up to the coach to say, "Have a seat son."

It's a no-win situation. One, it looks bad. Two, Vince could get hurt...how ridiculous would that be?

Here are my thoughts....

This is a VERY important week. Texas already lost a few votes to Va Tech last week. Va Tech plays Miami today. Texas has to have a 55-0, 62-0 type win today. Voters will be looking at changing their votes to Va Tech if they beat Miami.

If Texas pulls their starters and win 48-14, it doesn't look that great. 55-0, 62-0 looks very strong.

I think Mack is looking at the bigger picture as it comes to the voters and the potential questions they have in their minds at the end of today's games.

I agree.... I think when Texas was up like 44-0 and V. Young twisted he's ankle. I would of said, " time to sat down and relax and become a cheerleader Vince for the backups."

I think this is BCS crap and it sucks. It almost forces coaches to run the score up so they look good to the voters.

exactly. I really think Mack knows this is the most important week as far as voters goes. He can not afford for all the attention to go to Va Tech today.

Guys,

The chances of Texas missing out on the Rose Bowl increase exponentially to a near 100% certainty if Vince goes down.

If we win 41-0 instead of 62-0 with a healthy VY, the chances of missing out on the Rose Bowl don't change very much, if at all...why risk it?

It's a gamble. Mack rolled the dice and he won here. He may not win again, but that is the way it goes.

Some of that makes sense... "Sad to say though." But, Texas having a very dominating game today can and well take some of the luster off the big "national televised game" between Va Tech vs Cuba, opps I mean Miami.

This game was important the announcers at the Va tech game will be saying the Texas score all night long.

I don't like it...but HEY...gotta do watcha gotta do...

And I couldn't capture a pic of Vince with his cape flying in the wind...
C'mon...that's just impossible.

Mack is a lucky SOB

VY did great
Texas won
VY's heisman hopes have increased ALOT (where are you Marcus?)
and that Virginia Tech team lost to Miami

So VY is lookin good in the heisman race
and Texas is lookin good in the NC race.

don't piss away all your luck in the regular season mack looks like your gonna need it against USC

Whats all this hate on Marcus?

8-22 for 91 yards, 0 TDs to 2 INTs
16 carries for 13 yards and a TD
2 lost fumbles that equaled 10 points

those are some awesome Heisman numbers right there... if that doesnt win it for him, I dont know what will! ;)

Two words... throwing motion. Pedophile Mexico has such a pretty delivery. That Heisman is his.
