I am not really sure because they have been playing easy teams but I do know for sure that they were better than last year since when they lost to our team (Tyler Lee). Westfield has a big shot for this playoff.

As someone else correctly stated, Westfield is the same team as last years only more experienced!

That's very correct. Lamar may test you, but crunch time to see if the Stangs are real will come with North Shore.

Is Lamar ready, they played an all 4A pre-season and I don't think were ever tested in the regular season?

WF has a real good chance of going all the way. They held a pretty good offense in check last night. And they seem to be playing with a little more focus this year. much the same way we did in'03.

I've seen Westfield play. They are loaded. Very fast. They have four guys on the offensive side of the ball that can score from anywhere on the field. Their defense is really good against the run.
I've also seen Pearland play and they are real good, but not as fast or as diverse as Westfield.
Pearland hasn't beaten Northshore in a decade if not longer. This year is Pearland's best shot, but I don't think it will happen. Northshore has not lost a home game in at least 5 years; never at their new field. Northshore has 50 straight regular season wins and 35 straight district wins.

2002 - District 23-5A NS 28 Pearland 16
2003 - District 23-5A NS 35 Pearland 7
2004 - Bi District playoffs NS 35 Pearland 30

If they both get by tough first round games:

Westfield is loaded, but they got to play at North Shore.

The Shore will take Westfield down. Sorry Westfield, you might win on a neutral field but you are playing in North Shore's backyard.

The Red Pony won't let you take them down at home.

North Shore 28
Westfield 21

One thing Westfield does better than North Shore is open things up on offense. North Shore seems to fall in love with their base plays at times, and that will hurt them against a team like Westfield that they can't simply "out-athlete". I wasn't as impressed with Westfield's defense as I thought I'd be, but I'll reserve final judgement for a couple more weeks. Both teams have games to take care of this weekend aganist worthy opponents, so we'll see what happens.

In my opinion the DI champ will come from region 3. I also feel that it will be the winner of the Westfield Vs North Shore game.

I have my facts straight. 2002 and 2003 NS and Pearland were in 23-5A as posted, before realignment in 2004. Relax, no one is trying to prove people wrong.

I agree KT2000 that in the past NS has fallen in love with a couple of plays, mainly b/c nobody could stop them. This year though, the ability or capability is there to open it up when and if necessary. Terrance can make the throws needed to open the field and there are some good receivers at his disposal. It really depends on the OC, if he chooses to open it up. I believe that he will.

NS vs. Westfield is going to be there biggest challange....Westfield has an amazing offense...Working Ground and air very well....There defense is Good, but not as good as people said it is..they stop you when it matters...they recently allowed Humble 358 total yards....Now humble is no Noth shore...Humble made costly Mistakes (Flags thrown almost every play)..NS wont make those...Far more disiplined.....This will be a great game...Who ever wins will make the other team look weak....I am undecided.... Who ever wins takes it by 20...

Westfield will ROLL. Their just to well coached not to go to State this year.

Loaded, hope the lack of being tested recently is overcome by the playoff experience.

I've seen Westfield. They are the real deal. And I am a diehard NS guy.

Too bad they loss the 2004 championship game. Beasley did not have that great of a game and their running back hurt his ankle - he was used as decoy toward the end of the game. Tyler Lee's defense got the best of them on that day.

Yes - I went all the way to San Antonio to see them play. Hey, I give them kudos for beating NS - and I had to go see them win the championship. Again - too bad they loss.

Well this Katy Dude is gonna be at Tulley this Friday evening. I don't know which side to sit on? Won't really be rooting for either team since it's a Div. 1 game. I'm going to this one 'cause it's close to Katy and hopefully will be an entertaining game. Show me your stuff and wow me Westfield.

Expect a Westfield offense to dominate on Friday, especially against lamar. They have talent, Dont get me wrong, they just are not talented enough

I don't want to attend a blowout. Don't scare me into going to the FB Marshall game.

Well if you want to see a good lamar team Struggle against Westfield, then thats the game to go to. If you want to see a complete Disaster on behalf of the Jesuits go to the FB marshall game. The really intresting games dont start tell R2. But if i had to pick WESTFIELD VS. LAMAR...lamar wont let them win without a fight. The game will be good, but you wont be able to tell from the score. I know the humble-wesfield game was fun to watch, Couldnt tell from the score though 35-14....Humble fought...but came short...

so will lamar
