Time to see what this Cy-Woods fuss is all about. Rivals said that they have three kids with D-1 offers, and they have never even played a varsity season! These guys put up unbelievable numbers last year, beating their opponents something like 51-14 every week and they put a pretty good pop-knot on Marshall's varsity. Should be a great challenge for the new & improved Spartans.

At Seven Lakes this Saturday. Varsity is scheduled at 7.

Since SL has a bye in Week 0, they have scheduled another scrimmage next Thursday against Elsik. Will let you know the time and place when I find out.

I am not sure 7-Lakes will be up for this test. Didn't they just move up to 5A this year? And, I think they have been struggling wherever they were. Woods should be too much for them.

I'm sure alot has changed with both schools since 2006. I think we scrimmaged 7L when we were all sophomores at Woods.

These girls are awesome. These girls really have their act together on and off
the court. Just good people. :D

Actually, I was there and can report the facts to you. It was last fall. At Cy-Woods. Their first-ever contest against a varsity program of any kind. Cy-Woods moved the ball well in the controlled scrimmage. So did SL. They each scored twice. In the simulated game situation, that is, make a first down in three plays or punt, Seven Lakes scored three times and Cy-Woods once.
Couldn't play a lick.

Seven Lakes did not play JV with juniors. As a matter of fact, the seniors on this team played a sophomore schedule as freshmen. They skipped JV and went straight to varsity as sophomores and played there the past two years. They should be able to hold their own against a first year varsity program, but we will all have to wait and see.
Saturday at 7. We'll be there and we'll be on time.

I think the QB was wearing a target jersey that was gold, but everyone else was wearing red & white.

Not sure how many seniors, but this team has quite a few juniors on it and a couple of sophomores. The junior class is the best class yet to come through. With lots of speed and talent, they have been winning since junior high. The seniors are providing the leadership, as you would hope, and the younger guys are stepping up to the challenge. Can't wait to get it going and see how they do against someone else besides their own team.
