It's unlikely a strictly defensive player can win this, but the best of the best should be on the list, but realistically any of the bunch would have to have monster sack or INT numbers to go with defensive TD's to have a shot.

As far as the offensive players go, you're going to have to put up pretty good numbers on a great team or crazy numbers on a very good team.

I'd argue that McCoy gets worse by the day, but the fact that Texas might be very good (Personally, I think they lose enough that McCoy won't make the Semifinal list) means he has to make the list.

As far as Tech goes, Crabtree deserves to be on the list, but he's a WR and the only way a WR desrves to make the list and not his QB is if that receiver gets about half the yards and receptions from his QB. In Tech's case, Crab very well might get 2000 yards and more than 20 TD's again, but he's probably going to do it with Harrell going for over 6000 and 50. There's no way you can leave Harrell off that list. It's going to be very hard to justify Crab for the Heisman over Harrell unless Graham has a couple Colorado games in him this year.
