ANOTHER THING:

Don't attack Judson because they are in the playoffs. Judson had the better team and played the better game. This was the first game all season that all 5 starting O-Linemen played, and the only game of the season where 21 of the 22 starters played. The 22nd guy got into some trouble so he was unable to make it 22. If you look back on the season, we were in the Copperas Cove game, we almost won. (2 missed PATS, 2 missed FG, lost 20-19). The SV game was tied 7-7 at the half, and in the 2nd half injuries to the O-Line prevented us from being productive. The game ended 21-7, and 7 of SVs points came off a blocked punt. The Churchill game had a lot of O-Line injuries, with only 3 O-Line starters in. That game was 6-0 for most of the time, we then lost 14-0. We were winning 14-10 against Madison at the half, but once again O-line injuries prevented us from being productive in the 2nd half.

Also, we played closer to the traditional Judson offense today than we have in games past. We fixed what we broke when we tried to fix what wasn't broken.

That funeral you guys were holding a few weeks back might've been a little premature! :p Football season just might end in December for the 15th time in the last 24 years.

i agree. coju needed to basicly fog the mirror to become the odds on favorite to win the region 4 tourney. congrats. maybe they can pull everything together during the upcoming bye weeks and make the ns/westfield winner regret showing up in the semis.

Let's not get carried away now. There's a few games to play before that becomes reality.
Congrats to the Rattlers on a fine season.

Hey, it's not a walk in the park. I do think the Rockets are building up some momentum. They'll be favored to beat Seguin by about 18 points and over O'Connor by about 12. The Harlingen/LaJoya winner will be about a 10 point underdog. None of it matters if Judson doesn't take care of business, but they will be favored to win the next 3 games.

I'd like to also say congrats to Reagan.

...and then? They hit a brick wall called Region 3!

You boys are going to take a stroll down Alamo way if you get that far. You might be surprised what happens in San Antonio! :D I would be glad for Judson to have the chance to meet up with Region 3 and hopefully come out on top this time. I think it will be a good game.

I guess your right, Region 3 would head that way this year. To bad your Dome is booked!

It would be nice to have a repeat of the '83 Yates contest in the Rockpile. About 98 degrees in the shade.

Sounds like most of the games Westfield played except there were lost of giant mosquitos as well.

You know, it almost seems like Judson is going old school. The Alamodome isn't available and they're going to have to start using Alamo Stadium again. They have a killer record between those 2 stadiums in the playoffs! :D

It seems like Division 1 was supposed to be harder than Division 2 this week but now it switch around different teams to Division 1 next week...

The abridged version of my thoughts are:

The Mansfield Summit/Midland Lee winner will play Trinity, but not win. The region could be stronger.

The top half of Region 2 isn't great, but the bottom half is a little better. Westlake gets out of here.

The top half of Region 3 isn't very good. The teams on the bottom are real good and will produce a real good semifinal team. We're looking at North Shore/Westfield here.

The top half of Region 4 is stronger than the bottom half. Judson all the way!

It may not look great on paper, but will produce some good games.

The top half of R2 is better then you give them credit for. The winner of Berkner/Mesquite/Rowlett should seriously challenge Westlake.

I think it will be Rowlett and it will be a good game. The bottom half is a little stronger.

Holy cow, I just checked the brackets for the first time this morning. This has got to be the weakest D1 field ever. Every region has serious weak spots, but most have 1-2 sure things. Region 4 is just atrocious. Judson - as bad as they have looked most of the year - are almost a lock for the semis. It would be nice to play NS or Westfield at the Rock Pile, but better if it was Ike. :D

That's why I've just been wanting us to get to the playoffs and start working out the kinks. Judson has to do like Westfield last year and peak for the playoffs. They made sure they didn't play their best games during the regular season! ;)

Seguin is not as good as Clemens last year. O'Connor was better last year. Anybody that rolls over for Jay like O'Connor did is beatable. Harlingen/LaJoya won't beat Judson.

D1 has whole quadrants that are weak, but there are a few decent spots in every region.

Maybe not, but Judson isn't as good as Judson last year.

Are you saying Seguin will get less than 31 yards of offense?

i think seguin will be closer than SC last year, then they will pretty much stroll to the finals before facing the underrated westlake chaparrels, they are damn good,i saw them come from behind last night against a great team

So let me get this straight....Seguin will beat Westlake for the state championship??!! My toad better hurry up and get here. I don't think I can sleep much longer. Where do you think Westfield or Northshore will be? Name the great team they beat last night?

I think he was predicting a Judson win. Not sure. Either way, I don't think Seguin or Judson has what it takes to go to state. I think the winner of the game loses in the Semis.
