With Pearland beating Alvin 44 to 7 and Clear Creek beating Brazoswood 53 to 29, that gets them into a first round matchup against Deer Park who upset LaPorte tonight.

The game was exciting and the Creek players were definitely focused on the win. Congratulations to Creek for making the playoffs!

Its a young team, with a new system and a whole new coaching staff. Tons of speed with about 6 different offensive speed threats. Much improved from last year. Definately building for the future with a sophmore QB that now leads district 24-5A in passing.

Who was playing at Clear Creeks stadium this Friday nite? My wife and I went to T-Bone Tom's in Kemah to eat and watch a local band and saw that a game was going on there.

Clear Creek was playing Brazoswood at District Stadium.
Starting the game, the QB was 2 yards shy of the 1,000 yd mark. He reached it early on in the game. Great accomplishment for him and the Wildcats!
Also, great accomplishment for the entire team after the last two seasons. I wish them luck next week against Deer Park.

I'm going to throw in for the under dog on this since everyone will pick Creek to lose including all the polls. Since they had Deer Park down 21 to 17 at half time the first time, I'll say Creek 42 and Deer Park 38. Broke their 20 game losing streak this year might as well break there not winning a playoff game since 1962 streak as well, heck they even had a streaker during the homecoming game against Ball High. :p

great game went into OT but the falcons couldn't pull it off.

Congragulations on Creek making the playoffs. Creek is one of the classiest teams out there and will be a power to reckon with for the next few years. That sophomore QB is awsome and everything seems to be coming together for them. Amazing turnaround they were 0-10 last year!
