Not surprising to see Lee finally win a game and send Longview to D2, but the SLC entry is indeed a surprise. Both Ryan and GV lose - so SLC is in D2 -- not even really close as the Dragons get sent to D2 in all scenarios.

All of a sudden you have Katy, Abilene, Lufkin, Longview and SLC in D2 - that will even things up in a hurry.

This is just an opinion - I think SLC would have handled Trinity handily.

Well whats interesting about d2 is all these teams that feel like this yr is THE year, but all but one will be wrong. By the way if im Southlake I'd much rather play I-Mac.

So know you have a Plano vs SL 2nd round match up. Plano fans want this game to see who is the best in Dallas. Should be fun leading up to the game. BEST TIME OF THE YEAR!! GO WILDCATS :D

I believe that Plano is in the opposite half of the bracket as SLC, meaning that they would meet in round 4, not round 2 -- hypothetically, of course.

Round 4? I don't think so. Should know more tomorrow. can't wait to see the bracket.

Yes 1 plano wildcat fan. However, more are coming online. BEST TIME of the year. Plus no Plano fan knows more about plano from 1977 till today than "Plano Wildcat Fan".

I bet I have seen more games and played in more games than any wildcat supporter in 28 years. I am finally excited about time going into the playoffs since Kimbroughs 1990 team with QB Mitch Maher. :D

Look at last week's projected bracket. Plano is in the opposite half of the bracket in Region I, which means that they wouldn't meet SLC until the regional finals. The SLC/Irving MacArthur winner will play the winner of the game between the 7-5A #1 seed and the 8-5A #2 seed.

The way I see it, SLC plays South Grand Prairie since Irving Mac beat SGP head to head.

That's ok. I am a Plano fan who likes to do his talking after the game, not before. And I don't really like talking after the game. I figure the game says enough.

But there was a three-way tie between Trinity, SGP, and Mac at 6-1, so the head-to-head record between SGP and Mac probably doesn't determine the seeds.

KT,
that's what I thought, but on the radio they said it was SLC/MAC and SGP/DR.
not sure why SGP would be seeded #1 since they lost to IMAC, unless they went to points differential being that it was a 3way tie.

who knows?

That's what I thought, too, as MacArthur beat SGP in heads up play. MacArthur would be the #1 Seed and SGP the #2 Seed.

I heard they we to points instead of head to head. Doesn't make sense to me!! I would rather play Mac than SGP. I think SLC will blow Mac out of TS next week. Mac's offense is very weak compared to last years offense. Defense looked okay against Trinity but nothing special.

Nevermind, SLC vs. I Mac is right. Trinity-SGP and I Mac all finished tied for district and I Mac came out low man on positive points total between those three.

SLC- I Mac at Texas Stadium I imagine.

You are right if all things go well Plano won't see SLC until the regionals as the brackes are opposite.

But that is beside the point, because I do not think Plano will see SLC, because I think SLC will be upset perhaps as early as next week.

Wildcat Fan............where's your head???? You are talking way too much smack to be saying we will meet SLC in the region finals (in 4 WEEKS!!!!!) How quickly we forget 0-10!!!!! SLC was winning state when we were sitting at home, wondering when we going to win another game!!!! I am a huge Wildcat fan also (class of '97), but I'm not gonna come out and talk a good game until we prove we can play one next week.........and then if we face SLC, then we will teach them what Plano tradition is all about, but not until then!!!!! Plano is 10-0.................but we want to be 16-0, right?????

Yes, 16-0 is the goal!! Me talking smack and having fun will change exactly nothing on how Plano's season turns out. I am Class of 87. Played on state team and I know that it takes to win. This team can do it.My senior year we were 2-2 and just lost 1st district game to Richardson. Then we won 12 straight to finish State Champs. Still wear my ring today with pride. In fact I take my wedding ring off before I take my state ring off my fingers. NOTHING LIKE IT> I want these group of Seniors to experience the same thing. Especially after suffering through a 0-10 season.

I will continue to have fun on this site and if somehow Plano gets knocked out before the finals I will be the first to admit I was wrong and everyone on this site can talk smack to me and I willl take it like a man.

Life is short. Who knew it would take 18 years before Plano went 10-0 again. Enjoy it while it lasts. Talk the smack!! It's Playoff time. I want Plano :) to play SL, Lufkin and Katy on consecutive weeks and claim Plano's 8th State Championship. Don't you?

So I guess with SLC, Abilene, Lufkin, Longview, Katy and SV(?) in Div. 2, you just can't say that Div 1 is the toughest route to a State Title. Maybe Div. 1 is still the toughest route in Region 3 but overall there is some good football games to be played in the Div 2 bracket.

my years are running together, but wasn't the 86 plano sc team the one that started 2-2 and the 87 team undefeated, or did i misread your post? those years set the win streak record at the time.
