maybe you should start a thread that asks people to pray for this man's family instead of calling out "certain" individuals that didn't post...

Yeah, so I guess it's about Winston instead of the criminal. Yeah, I guess so, huh? OK then. Just remember to leave your weapons at home when you visit Austin there, Adolf. I will pray for an end of necks who kill to prove their "point" so the rest of humanity doesn't have to put up with them.

BTW, did you post anything in the thread about Adkisson about praying for the families of his victims?

Yeah, name-calling and killing are historically two of the more popular neck "solutions" to not winning an argument. Those, and concocting false science. Not that Hitler did any of those things.

Actually, what is the argument? You seem to just think that all people in Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma (exluding yourself) are rednecks, and each eaqually guilty in this crime. Is that what you're trying to say?

I'm certainly not excluding myself from being a Texan, since I think everybody everywhere is equally capable of thinking for themselves if they have the guts and honesty to do it. That's the thing.

So, being from Texas, you have to free yourself from the pre-set mental state of being a redneck?
Then why "suggest" (jokingly or not) that one of our forum members could do this, if you believe they have the ability to think for themselves and aren't as brainwashed and disturbed as this man was? Unless you do believe many of us are in the same mental state?
And then why get offended when someone calls you out? I haven't really paid attention in the past, but it seems you have a history of arguments like this. What do you get out of them?

No one tell me this is a lost cause, by the way. It's 1 am and I'm not tired.

KatyBass, I don't get offended when people "call me out," since there is no basis to it other than political bias. It's not about Winston - it's about the facts.

Take this thread, for instance. Some neck repeats a classic pattern of making other people comply to his will the only way he can, and suddenly the thread is about Winston instead of the neck.

I strongly suspect this is due to a tendency among those resistant to change to attack the messenger because it's easier than changing, as exemplified by the person in the story. It is equivalent to shooting out the "check engine" light in your car instead of actually checking the engine. It is the easy solution, but is isn't the real one.

There is plenty of insulting smack on this board about people who do not favor current Republican views, posted by a great many board members. They post more insulting stuff than Winston, and they aren't even able to usually back it up. Why don't you call those people out? Is it because doing that is harder than changing?

Actually, I stay away from all of their threads. I just happened to read this one tonight.

What people don't appreciate, is when you suggest someone from this board is as disturbed as this man, and could very well be crazy enough and right-wing enough to murder someone with different beliefs. That's why they make it about the messenger first.

I assume you don't get the discussion out of these threads you would like to, and because of that, it's gotten to the point you just want to get the posters as riled up as possible. Which, really, is no big deal, but people get very, very riled up in these.

I am curious to what facts you are trying to back? and who fails to back their argument against you.

i usually stay away from your post because i personally find that you post with a sense of arrogance, smothered in a tasteful amount of naive.

again...what facts are being presented, as i have seemed to missed the point of this thread.

Well, KatyBass, there is a saying where I come from in Texas. It has to do with staying out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat. I did remove the remark about board members in my initial post, however, in taking what you say into account. It's not my goal to rile people up as much as it is to share my viewpoint - although sometimes on this board the stick seems to be more effective than the carrot in that regard. Alright KatyBass - I know you may not see eye to eye with me, but I appreciate and respect your being willing to share your views with me in a non-smack talking way. Good night.

ignorance and stupidity comes in all shapes and colors... whether he was a red neck... or chinese.... african... conservative... liberal... buddhist... etc...

in this instance it was done by a white male that lives in Arkansas... and most likely he was a "neck" stereotypically... but its our own fault for having that label put on him....

by calling the man a "neck" really doesn't help anyone... wasted word if you ask me...

It is certainly a shame for both the victim and for what the shooter must have been feeling at losing his job that morning. Of course, lots of folks are released and are devastated by it, yet manage not to kill anyone over it. But surely you are aware, this has happened previously in states other than Arkansas.

As usual, Winnie is the only one who can have and agenda.

Winnie's agenda is right (no pun) and everybody else is wrong.

Winnie's agenda is progressive becaue it's Winnie's.

Everybody else's agenda is "neck" because it's not Winnie's.

Winnie is totally enamoured with Winnie...self love personified.

Winnie wonders how his posts automatically get "pigeon-holed" as leftist propoganda and the message of the post gets lost in a flurry of "Winnie-hating" where his predictable politics drown the message.....

Wow.....I wonder how his message gets lost with all that predictability?

You know how us "necks" are, right Winnie, we are just too stupid to get you.....

What a :Censor: that child must have been to deliver. That child came out of the womb cursing white conservatives while pissing and moaning about the PUF fund and hyping the next Tech midget receiver all while trying to bomb Georgia and invade Poland. Such a child would have to be the Antichrist. So, Winnie is either the Antichrist or a typical, bitter and confused liberal with more carbon tax credits than brain cells.

I find him to be hilariously rediculous...If he's totally serious, I'll be surprised.

Either he's one of the most committed jokers around, or he's the most committed and disillusioned liberal on the planet.
