I don't know if anyone here keeps up with Michigan football, I'm a life long UM fan. But the more time goes on, the more Ex-Wolverine, now Bucknut Justin Boren looks like an idiot.
mgoblue.com/football has a countdown to kickoff with daily videos that goes inside the football program. Todays video (19 days till kickoff), shows the position coaches having the players come for dinner inside their homes with their families. http://mgoblue.com/football/article.aspx?id=141930

So much for the erosion in Michigans family values.

I love college. I have lost count of how many times I've been to a professor's house in just the past 2 years.

I would assume this would be nice for those upperclassmen to get to know RichRod a little better off the field. I'm still waiting for their first game....I can't wait to see what he has done with that team.

Their going to be doing big things this season and turn some heads. They have some good WR's in Greg Mathews, Tony Clemons, and Darryl Stonum. QB situation may take a little time. And RB Brandon Minor appears to be stepping up well. McGuffie is really impressing the coaching staff and they've said several times he will make an impact as a true freshman.
The defense will be one of the strongest in the Big Ten and will keep them in close games if the offense is struggling.

Overall this will be a very successful season, more so than people are expecting and as long as I've been watching Michigan football, I can't recall a time when players have been this excited to get the season started.

I think it's been pretty well determined that Boren took exception to RichRod and Co. not bowing before his 4 star Rivals ranking and instead making him bust his :Censor: like everyone else. Boren has all but said he just couldn't handle it physically and broke down every time a coach got in his face about it, so Boren took his little ball and went home. I think a lot of the negative stuff about RichRod has been blown out of proportion simply because he is so different from what has been at UM for so long.

Agreed, I really don't get why people think he's a bad person and resort to call him names such as "dickrod". I also can't help but laugh at the WVU fans who claim he's such a bad coach and they now have the better coach in Bill Stewart. If he's the better coach, why wasn't he the head coach instead of Rich Rod from get go?

Keep us posted on Sam's progress.

Michigan has a young team overall. I'm not sure what they will do with the QB position. The miss on Terrelle Pryor hurt them as I don't think any of the QBs they have right now are known for their mobility.

The projected starter is Steven Threet, who's not very mobile. They do have a true freshman in Justin Feagin who's very mobile but his arm is very shaky. They've also put RB Carlos Brown in for a few reps at QB but just for options, no passes thus far I believe.
And back on the Sam, Running backs coach Fred Jackson who's entering his 17th season at Michigan said Sam is the best athlete he has ever seen at Michigan.

I expect Michigan to be an 8 or 9 win team this year, but it wouldn't shock me a bit to see them really throw a wrench in the national title picture in that last regular season game. After this year though, watch out.
