Intreresting that in Ohio schools dont have tp play schools their size until the playoffs....thats like a 5A team playing 2A and 3A schools during the regular season:

That was pretty interesting how they do it. You're not obligated to play the same teams year in and year out, but can shuffle your schedule around as you like as opposed to only non-district games here. Something different I guess. But they do only crown one champ per class.

That's a good find. Texas blows the other guys away with teams.

Did you guys see the state of Texas?? Next year we're going to having 4 teams go to the playoffs, instead of three. 2 to Division I and 2 to Division II!

Wow!!!

[just follow that link, then click the "Interactive Map". When it comes up click on Texas and read the "Most Resent Change" header.]

Most people hate it, but I'm OK with it. We sure could've used it this year in 26-5A! ;) The 4th place team in 26-5A should've been in the playoffs each of the last 5+ years.

Ya! And unlike some of the guys on here, I think it's fair to have 10 titles given out! We have 1,115 teams, not counting most of the privates, which would put us at having near 1300 teams/schools. How in the world can you give 1 title for that many teams.....even per level?!

Also....
When you look at the top 50 programs in the nation, you have to put, at least, 20, or more, Texas teams in there! We play, week in and week out, stiff competition! We may say teams like Coppell or Tyler Lee are not very good this year - here in Texas, but they'd give most of these states top teams a run for their money, if not beat them, out right!

JMO!

You're 100% dead-on right about the teams. I said about 5 weeks ago that Coppell is a good team that just can't compete with SLC and that's why I fired them. Judson can go 6-4 and miss the playoffs and be a real good team sitting at home. They aren't historical Judson, but they can really do some damage. Yeah, I'll go along with us having 20 of the top 50 teams.
