"I did not have sexual relations with that woman" Does that sound Familiar?
Looks like some top Democrates really going all out for a chance to be in the oral office. This scum bag personal injury lawyer seemed to be right in the running for while.:puke:Censor:

The only difference between Democrat affairs and Republican affairs is that Dems usually have affairs with women whereas Republicans (men) are usually caught in mens public bathrooms.

It's amazing how the mainstream media is sitting on this story. You know if it were a Republican former candidate for president, say Mitt Romney, the MSM would be all over it.

I have always thought John Edwards -- not John Edward -- was the Biggest D**che in the Universe. (See Southpark archives for hysterical episode (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZpjVBxgUpTI)).

He makes his fortune by ambulance chasing, and then he milks his wife's cancer for all it's worth politically, all the while he's out cheating on her with this woman. I am hopeful that his political career is totally destroyed. What a lowlife.

Finally, something we can agree on! :D Maybe now we can smoke the peacepipe. (At least until the next SMU/UNT thread). ;)

Too bad he couldn't be VP with Hillary. He and Bill, well, you can fill in the rest.

Seriously - I do hope Ms. Edwards leaves him and takes him for at least $50M or so. Of course, he's so slick and crafty - everything he owns is tied up in intricate layers of Limited Partnerships - I'd bet you a nickel he could screw her again out of any real settlement.

No, the real difference (aside from the media's coverage) is that Republicans throw their miscreants overboard, while Democrats usually rally around them and their "right to privacy" (e.g. Gerry Studds, Mel Reynolds, Barney Frank, Ted Kennedy, Bill Clinton, among others).

Hehehe indeed.
People in the office get frustrated with me due to all the South Park references I use around here.
They tell me I need to focus on watching The Office more which is funny, just not as funny as South Park.
The John Edward episode was great as are many more. My buddies and I were at the bar last weekend and we like to make stupid list. Last week we tried to do our top 5 favorite South Park episodes and we ended up with about 30 each :D

on a personal note, back in April I flew to Denver and while at Hobby I had to go to the Men's room. I was standing there at the urinal and just busted out laughing because the thought popped into my head about, "Where does one put their feet, as to not be hit upon in an airport restroom?" i quickly finished my business and GTHO of there.:D

I don't know why, but it just cracked me up. i don't think I could be with anyone in a freaking restroom, much less another dude.

IMO, this crime is right up there with child molestation. Your spouse has terminal illness, and you're out banging away with someone else.

That's just insane to me. They should publicize it just like DUI's.

AND running for President of THE UNITED STATES at the same time. He said its "Not my kid" but will not take a blood test... duh.
But wait.... Is all this any worse than belonging to a church whose preacher says "God Damn the United States". Hmmm, thats a tough choice.....:Censor:

I'd say Foley, Craig and Vitter were all thrown overboard. The party certainly forced them out of public life.

Gingrich, Muschany, Thurmond, I am not sure what you are referring to. I know Gingrich divorced his first wife and then remarried, I guess there is a suspicion of infidelity there?? I'll have to do my research.

All I know is that Kennedy was very likely banging one of his campaign volunteers and then mysteriously allows her to drown (Massachusetts authorities allowed him to get away with it because he is a Kennedy); Frank runs a gay prostitution ring out of his own basement. Both of them are still Democrat mainstays. Studds (this was the 80s) was having sex with an underage male page -- his Massachusetts constituents returned him to Congress for another decade. Reynolds was convicted of sexual assault of a 16 year old, so of course Clinton pardoned him. And Clinton .......................... we all know about Wild Bill.

I'm not saying Republicans are any more pure than Dems. What I am saying is that the media is eager to take down Republicans and reluctant to take down Democrats. And that when a Republican gets caught with his wanker out, his party throws him overboard, while Dems make all kinds of excuses. It's already happening with Edwards apologists. He's out there saying it was a short term thing --- who would ever believe that? He's saying his family knew about it; ya, right, and allowed him to run for President while hiding a salacious story? Elizabeth Edwards is covering for him now, because she is too smart to believe he could become President and this not be found out.

Both parties are corrupt. The only reason the media attacks the Republicans more than the Dems is because the Repubs walk around with this holier than thou/conservative attitude.....so its pretty funny when anti-gay repubs are caught with male prostitutes or with their pants down in a public restroom. It's freakin' hilarious. I always LMAO when these people get caught.

Yeah, but we are talking about 2 adults that knew what they were doing.

Child molestation is different. The kid is being forced.

So Edwards' wife consented to his philandering? maybe so, but it would never go down (no pun intended) like that at Slorch's household...

Comparing it to molestation might be a stretch, but not by much. A very precious thing is being lost in both instances. like I said, it probably depends upon the value one places upon marriage.

yes i saw that. The cursing part bothers me way more than the political part.

To this day it bugs me when we're watching TV and they beep out certain curse words, but they fire away with the G.D.'s.

once again, the cursing on here is a much bigger issue than your political views, which I think are pretty respected on here.

We once had another board just so we could cuss and vent. That lasted about 2 weeks until we got that all out of our systems...

Back to Edwars. All day today and I am sure for the next several days, there has been cuts of his very staged scripted " confession", especially on CNN of course. His wife is backing him and was quoted as to how the family will by damaged by the press coverage. The deal is that he will spin this so that he will actually be the victim. The knee jerk liberal crowd will actually fall for it. Poor baby. The SOB is good at his act, just like he was when he made millions with lawsuites against Docters and hospitals. I am sure he is real good dancing for the jury. Wonder why health insurance is so high? Scum bag lawyers like him are a big reason

As I said to Mad, I was not trying to make any political point at all. If you cared to correct the original post to quote what Wright actually stated, I would have had no issue with such, nor would I consider such a request as censorship. My objection was simply the "screaming it out so loud." You would have been free to not edit it, but I felt that I should request you to simply tone it down, not change the language of your post at all. It was not intended to insult you at all. I also do not expect you to lose any sleep over my request, as it was simply that - a request. Likewise, I would not lose a great deal of sleep over it had you elected to not do so. While I object to asking the Lord to curse our country, I object more strongly to using His name in vain. But it is a free country, although not a free board, (we do have benevolent dictators in charge here) and you are free to do so. I do not typically make any such request as that and will try to not do so again.
