How in the hell is John Stallworth in the Pro Football Hall of Fame...and Michael Irvin (probably about to be passed up again) and Art Monk (one of the greatest receivers ever) are not?
Look at the numbers....
John Stallworth
REC Yards Avg. TD
537 8723 16.2 63
Michael Irvin
REC Yards Avg. TD
750 11904 15.9 65
Art Monk
REC Yards Avg. TD
940 12721 13.5 68
And don't give me that Irvin off the field crap either....because Lawrence Taylor is in the Hall....and he smoked fat rocks.

Art is waaaay overdue...and it looks like they are going to punish the Playmaker for his off the field stuff for a while...That's BS...look at the numbers! Hell Drew Pearson's numbers are pretty close to Stallworth's...I don't get it.

Well, if someone like Troy were to be put in this year....I'd be mad. His first year of eligibility. And he gets in? And yet Art who has been eligible and was even a finalist last year doesn't get in....put Art in! How many can go in at one time?

Not sure...I will have to check.
Troy will get in...I would bet the farm on that..
But you're right..Monk should get in too...should have
a long time ago.

You can have up to 6 go in at one time and we need 3 Cowboys this year.

Dr. Z says he knows a bunch of voters that have hated the Cowboys since the 70's and that's why none of them get in the Hall of Fame. They only have about 36 voters for the Hall and they're a lousy bunch of guys!

You're correct, there, Lonny. But do know what's more defining? The fact that the NFL has more athlete positions than any other major team sport, more roster athletes than any other major team sport and that's not counting the coaching staff...i.e...head coach, off. coordinators, def. coordinators, etc..!
To only allow 6, at a time, is insulting. Most times linemen (mainly off. linemen), tight ends, kickers, punters and fullbacks are overlooked.
For example: Off of one Cowboy team I'd give hof votes to FB Johnston, C Stepnoski, WR Irvin, QB Aikman, RB Emmitt, G Allen, DE Haley, CB Deion, S Woodson, OT Big "E" Williams, TE Novacek and finally HC Jimmy Johnson. 4 or 5 of these players will be left off, just becuase of the position they played!
But you would have been hard pressed to have found better/more productive players on another team, in their era,(Stepnoski was 2nd, only, to Dermontii Dawson of the Steelers)....however, this is just one team. It'd take 2 or 3 "induction years" to put all of them into the hof.
Hopefully, you see my point! Having just 6 allotments is ridiculus!
(And I said I'd give hof votes to all of these guys.....but I doubt all of them would get in! Some of them had really bad years at the end of their career, so most people might remember as being overweight, out of shape and un-disciplined....like Big "E" Williams...but I'll tell you this - and I've told him the same thing, in his first 7 or 8 years he was a monster on the field. 6'6 330 lbs of domination....and he ended his career as a 5 time all-pro player, 4 time pro-bowler and 3 time Super Bowl Champion. He missed the Ravens by 1 year, as they signed him in his final NFL season, the year after they had won the 2001 Super Bowl....or he might be holding 4 rings, right now!)

The dude speaks the truth. The Cowboys have been cheated for over 20 years in the Hall of Fame voting. They went to 5 Super Bowls in the 1970's, but have seen the Raiders, Steelers, Rams, Dolphins, Vikings, and Redskins fare better in the HOF during that time.
