Brett Favre will likely be a Buccaneer within the next 24 hours, according to the Tampa Tribune.
Just like that. The Trib calls the chances of a trade not happening "remote" after Favre gave the Bucs approval to deal for him. If the report is true, Favre will be playing against his former team in Week 4, in an away game for the Packers. The trade could reportedly be announced as soon as Wednesday.

He will play one year in Tampa, not go to the playoffs and retire after that.(hopfully)

FoxSports' Jay Glazer disputes a Tampa Tribune report saying Brett Favre will likely be a Buc by Wednesday. Glazer says that the Jets have offered a much better trade package.
He says there's a lot of negotiation still to be done before any Brett Favre trade is completed. However, even though Favre is talking to the Jets, he clearly would rather play for Tampa. Favre is said to be frustrated with the Packers for demanding more out of the Bucs simply because they are an NFC team.

Personally, I hope he goes to Tampa. Not just because I think its a better fit, but also because my cousin, Luke McCown, is a QB for Tampa so I can actually meet Favre. :D

i would prefer for favre to play with tampa, because thats the closest team that he for sure knows that he can be assigned too. tampa said theyll accept anyone that has been retired and wants to come back to the nfl. and plus itll be a whole new experience if you see him wearing a different kind of jersey. Everybody is used to him wearing the same ol' pack jersey.
