View Full Version : Places to eat/things to do in Arlington area
As some of you may know I am leaving in a couple of hours to head to Arlington to catch the ENTIRE Yankees v Rangers series at the Ballpark in Arlington. I haven't ben this excited to watch a sporting event in a long time...
Anyways we will be spending four days there (Leave today come back late thursday night) so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for places to eat in the general vicinity of the ballpark. I am not looking for outrageous expensive fancy restaurants just some nice places to sit down and have a bite to eat or things to do in between games. I have some stuff planned for the girlfriend (she likes baseball but I am not sure if she likes it enough to WANT to watch all four games so I planned some day stuff that she could enjoy... the games are all at night) like the Dallas aquarium, Botanical gardens, etc.
Thanks!
I gave you a couple of suggestions a few weeks back. You still have those?
Problem is now, that it's hot as he&&. Ft. Worth > Dallas in a lot of respects. What kind of stuff do you have in mind?

I'm more northwest of the ballpark area, so I won't be much of help in that area...
If you are going to the Dallas Aquarium, you can go to West End, where the market used to be, and they have a lot of resteraunts down there including ones like the Spaghetti Warehouse and Hoffbrau Steaks.

Drive to Ft. Worth or Dallas. Arlington and the environs are pretty much suburbia in the good and bad sense of the word. Endless shopping centers, strip malls, chain "casual dining" establishments. You can find good but affordable food in much cooler surroundings in a city.
