Yep...PrimeTime,GoOwls and I started it a few days ago...
Farmer joined in last night...

I was thinking of making up some rules and having a tourney...
It would have to be done on the honor system though...
It is easy to cheat...(google) but no one has done that so far...
at least as far as I know.

What we need to do is have somebody that doesn't want to play come up with like 20, 30, 50 or whatever questions and have everybody online at the same time. You get a few minutes to answer every question and whoever gets the most right wins. My schedule is just opposite of everybody else's.

Who beat SMU in the Holiday Bowl to deny them the a national title? who was the QB on the team that beat them?

(I think it was the 83 holiday bowl)
BYU and the QB was Jim McMahon. It was the 81 Holiday Bowl.

lonny23
11-03-2005, 03:25 AM
It was the 80 Holiday Bowl...46-45 BYU won it...
Jimmy Mac was the QB
You were right on the year. 1981 was when SMU went 10-0-1 with a tie with Arkansas. They were 8-3 going into the 1980 Holiday Bowl. I said 1981 because I knew that was the year SMU was good, but they played in the Cotton Bowl, not the Holiday Bowl. I remember that Holiday Bowl game with BYU.

Let me know when you guys want me to come up with a good sports quiz. I'll ask a certain amount of questions and you'll get a certain amount of time to answer them. I will only ask questions that I already know the answers to. It will probably be like 50 questions and you get like an hour to answer all the questions. I'll just see how it goes and then give you more details later on. I'd like to post it this weekend, but I have the bet with Redskins88 over the Judson-Reagan game. Whoever loses can't post on Saturday and Sunday. It might be best if I did it during the week. I want to get a lot of people to take the test because it's a comprehensive test. This test will not be specialized, so you need a wide range of knowledge.
