IMO our fans on the board decided to be alittle more humble with their posts. I mean if Southlake lost to Grapevine i think it would be the same way. Or any other team in the state so its not just trinity fans who quite down after a loss

I agree completely, but I think I (and we as SLC fans) deserve some room to talk after the "Trinity will hand SLC's butts on a platter" threads. Then again, just because ET lost doesn't mean they are an awful team. They are by no means someone to merely look past.

I sat with Baylordad and one of his friends last week, had a great time with them, some of the nicest guys I have met. I should be there fairly early, hopefully in time for pregame, come say hello and we will get that dr pepper ;)

I wish I could come to the game but uhh.... in Dallas? Nah I can't do that. When I become old enough I will try to go to alot of games if I stay interested with High School Football because I am afraid that High School Interest will go away from my mind for and headed for College Football, College Football will always be great but I think High School is too but maybe because I am still in High School. Anyways, This game should be very great with Irving MacArthur Defense vs Euless Trinity Offense. I am guessing this game will be low points on both team.

I have never lost interest in the High School game. It is not hard to stay interested in the game, wherever you end up going to school, just find a few local schools and attend their games. It truly is great to go to games on friday night while in college, gives you something to take your mind off of school and look forward to each week.

I'll definitely be there. This another opportunity for Trinity to play a team that plays very similar to SGP. Itll be interesting to see what new tricks we've learned since then :D .

I haven't missed a Trinity game in 7 years, and will be there tonight. Lineweaver I heard last night has worked the kids very hard this week. Hopefully a different team this week. It's a 7:00 start, but the HEB kids have tommorrow off. :D

Amen to the purity of the high school game. I love the high school level because you never know what these kids can do and will do on any given game night.

I'll bve there, obviously, since I'm in Mac band. Our defense is doin really good this year and i think itll be a close game. Trinity is an awesome team, but so is Mac. I predict that whoever wins will do so by less than 10 points.

But I'm still rootin for Mac.

We are still here...what a tacky post. We are not like some fans we stick with our Trojans no matter what. SGP out played us we got beat not the end of the world or life. What do you want us to say? Everyone else does the bashing. Do you want us to try to defend our loss? We accepted it and are moving on. We are still around but why argue a point that doesn't matter. We can say we could have, should have whatever but the fact remains we lost the game. So before you speak perhaps you should understand that most ET fans bleed red and black through good times and bad.

How is Cureo doing this year?

Actually Cuero is undefeated but I live in Hurst and have no affiliation with Cuero or any other team. The cap is just one that I picked up at a game there several years back. If you made it to the Trinity-Mac game you saw a good one. I know I liked it. Texas Stadium will be the place to be next Saturday.
It will be the 2 best districts in Region 1 butting heads.

Well since I started this thread maybe i can end it...Farmer fan like dragonbkr said I couldn't find your Red Sox Jacket in the crowd but that's also a good testament to the turnout...Nice job Trinity fans, I had to go the top row of the 10 yard line to get a seat next to the band. Thursday night games are usually a little less attended but i would say we matched if not exceeded Mac's turnout - I would guess about 7,000 turned out and it was worth the price of admission. 1st of all, hats off to Mac, they played their guts out like they always do and almost pulled off the upset. I know they were 9-0 but Trinity was a favorite at least in my book. The Mac Defense forced 2 turnovers that led to points and helped keep the game close. The Trinity ground game was good as usual but Mac kept the big runs down for the most part. Gent and Berueter are the heart and soul of that team and i would be hard pressed to find 2 people i would rather have next to me in a foxhole.

But in the end Trinity wore em down taking a knee in the final minute at the MacArhur 10 yard line or they could have gotten 38 if they needed it. A beautifully executed halfback pass that was dropped by the receiver could have made it 45 so the score was a little closer than it should have been but both these teams are gonna be tough outs in the playoffs for somebody.

Great game tonight - both teams played their hearts out IMO. Great participation by the fans on both sides until late in the fourth quarter.
