Good place to play. Garland High School has been to lions stadium twice. Beat Lufkin in 03, and Ennis in 05. :)

What if the Garland team they play wants to flip for home field? How is that already set in stone?

Will it still be the same location if Longview goes D1 or D2?

They have already talked to the head coaches of all schools involved, and all agreed.

Trust me - we don't want to flip for home and home with Longview. Playing in their stadium would not be fun...

Yea good point. So that would be the time and site IF we played Longview but the only way for us to play them is for them to lose to JT and Mesquite Horn to lose to Lee. I'll be cheering for Horn.

Longview winning or losing won't change what division they get in. The Horn/Lee will be the real kicker.

So no D-1 for the Lobos huh?

D1 is still a possibility. I was just saying that the game between JT and LV won't have any effect on what division LV will go.

I know that it wouldnt have any effect on what division they go to but it would have an effect on what Garland school they play round 1 if they were the 2 seed instead of the 1 seed.

have had a ton of questions about who we will play in the first round. The answer: I don't have a clue!

Here are the scenarios:

If Horn beats Tyler Lee in Tyler on Friday night, we will play Horn.

If Horn does not beat Lee, then we will play the loser of the Longview/John Tyler game on Friday night in Longview.

That is where we stand. We will not know anything until Friday night at around 10:30. Since we cannot control any of that stuff, we will worry about what we can control - beating Lakeview on Friday night at Homecoming and being the UNDEFEATED DISTRICT CHAMPS!

WE WILL WIN!

Direct Quote in an e-mail he sent out... seems to say something else? Or is soemthing misquoted?

It is still up in the air if Rockwall gets in, or Mesquite could still get in. IF either one of those two teams makes the playoffs, we will go D2. IF Mesquite wins over Rockwall, and Horn loses, Mesquite goes D1. IF Rockwall wins, and Horn losese, Rockwall goes D1. IF Horn wins, then it shouldn't matter about Mesquite/Rockwall, Longview goes D1. I think that is correct. So, to say that they WILL play Longview or JT is unknown just yet. We will see late Friday night. All the questions will be answered.

Hey, Lobos did you ever get that turf fixed at Lobo Stadium? I know you guys love that Vibra-Whirl company that didn't finish the job for you. I am surprised you didn't get someone hurt on that stuff. Longview ISD got shafted on that deal.

Ennis is an okay place to play a game.

I've tried reading all of these 12-5A situations and I'm still confused. What has to or does not have to happen for Longview to play Rowlett?

The only way that Longview would go D1 and play RHS is if Horn wins - if that happens, Longview becomes the D1 because they have a larger enrollment than JT and Horn. A Horn loss will put the winner of Rockwall/ Mesquite in, and whoever that is would be D1 and play the Eagles.

Horn win = Longview vs Rowlett
Horn loss = Rockwall or Mesquite vs Rowlett

Ridiculous, I know. I'm fairly certain they're still in a legal battle. What an unprofessional company. To think that they've done "So many fields." I'd have to say that that company is effectively gone. After this, everyone will see the crappy job they did and how they didn't come back to fix it and go hire another company. LISD may end up getting the better end of the deal if they don't have to pay a cent for a $800,000 (?) field.

If Horn loses, then Garland's opponent will be the loser of the game between Longview and JT. Garland is the D2 #1 seed from 11-5A, and the loser of the LHS/ JT game will be the D2 #2 seed from 12-5A.

If Horn wins, GHS plays Horn, either at Hanby or Williams on Friday night, Nov 11. (Coaches will flip Saturday).

THIS FRIDAY...

Horn win = GHS vs. Horn.
Horn loss = GHS vs. Longview/ JT loser.

It wouldn't matter either way for Lview. We are so accustomed to playing on the road it is like playing at home.

Seriously. Seems like Rose is our other House. In '02, we played there 4 times.

Owls06.....

Within that quote from your Head Coach....he means that the
game between JT vs. Longview is IN Longview THIS Friday
night.....

I think that you're misreading what he's stated.

Anyway....Longview's AD and Garland's AD have made the
agreement to play their Bi-District game in Ennis.

The Garland AD (Homer Johnson) has made the decision
for the school that will be playing Longview....as to the
location of the Bi-District playoff matchup.

That is a DONE DEAL....regardless if the opposition for
the Lobos is Garland High, Rowlett, South Garland or
Sachse.

That is my understanding....at least.

I think RHS is ready for whoever they take on in the playoffs, but I want to see Rowlett vs. Rockwall so LOSE HORN, LOSE!
