Is there a rhyme or reason for selection of the location of the first-round playoff locations? I'm particularly interested in the 3-5A/4-5A locations.

I think it's pretty much agreed upon sites - either home-and-home or neutral. If two teams have met previously and it was a home-and-home flip then the game is played at the previous visiting team's place.

The last couple of years, Abilene has played at Birdville ISD Stadium. - The two teams involved decide if they want to flip for a home and home or go to a neutral site like Birdville ISD Stadium, which by the way is a great place to watch a game. :D :D :D

Got this info from a very good source Abilene will be playing either Mansfield or Weatherford at Pennington field in Bedford on Nov 12 @ 7:30. Thats good news for us because if Trinity plays at 1:00 Saturday we'll have time to come and watch Abilene. :D
