Jeff Samardiza just got his MLB debut in the top of the 7th against the marlins. He struck out Amezaga....gave up a single to H. Ramirez...he stole second...L. Gonzales flew out to center advancing Ramirez to third....gave up a double to J. Cantu scoring Ramirez...then got jacobs to fly out to the SS for the final out.
The score is 2-2 in the bottom of the 7th...I wonder is he will stay in for the 8th?

i wonder what his projected career earnings were vs. football when he made his decision?
He should be around a long time.

You never know, but it's the rare pitcher that has a successful, long career in MLB. OTOH, I doubt he would have been very high on anyone's NFL draft boards. He made the right choice. After all the bad luck the Cubs have had with "can't miss" pitchers, I would reserve judgment for a good long while.

Pitchers are a hot commodity though. He can be a great pitcher for one season and that could be enough to secure a HUGE deal.

He was a for sure 1st day pick in the NFL draft.

I will never forget him talking smack the whole time USC was killing him in the last game he played against them. i was LMAO!!!
It was either extreme over-confidence or simply a lack of brains.

He was a great competitor. No problem with him being confident with his own skills. He was doubled a good portion of that game and still managed 77 yards and a TD. I guess you've never seen an athlete talk trash to their opponent when they were losing:rolleyes: You see it in football all the time.
