Seems like Pete Carol is a cool guy. I can't find a link yet and USC's website hasnt been updated yet so I'm assuming it will be on there tomorrow. Just heard this on Sports Radio. The Prank started with Pete Carol and RB(Lindell White I think) getting into an argument in practice. White then threw his helmet and gloves...with reporters watching and Carol told him to leave. Carol then gathered the rest of the team and began giving a speech on how they could still be good and one player does not make a team and they can replace him...etc etc....saying White was kicked off the team. Then one of the assistant coaches pointed to a building behind the practice field where a "Figure" wearing White's uniform was standing on top of the Building....the "Figure" aka Stunt Man leaps off the side of the building.........lol Priceless........

Sounds like a team that's loose.......good way to keep your team.....inject a little humor from the top.

Actually that was a deplorable prank and White as well as the coaches should be ashamed of themselves. USC over the past 5 years has lost 6 students because they commit suicide by jumping from buildings similar to what White's dummy did. Pete Carol is a damn good coach and a good guy, how he let White convince him to go through with this is beyond me. There were a few players in the huddle that were freaking out because they though White had actually jumped to his death. What if someone had called Whites mother or grandmother, we could have be looking at a possible real death in the White family due to a heart attack. USC is very lucky that nothing truly tragic happenined from this.

They showed it on the best damn sports show last night. I have mixed feelings toward it now that I hear several kids have done this at USC FOR REAL. He could have done many other pranks I think, that would have been just as good, but with less debate afterwards.

What is your source for the 6 suicides of students who have leaped from buildings?
The players were informed immediately there was no risk of phone calls etc.
I thought it was a great way to loosen up a team who had the pressure of 30 wins in a row and counting.....
However if you are correct and can substantiate your suicide claim then it was as you called it...a deplorable dumb thing to do.

I know...it's just SAD that someone went in and dug up suicide stats after a harmless Halloween prank. We just CELEBRATED Halloween...someone needs to dig up the facts on the meaning of Halloween. Not saying that you are, but SOME people in this world take things TOO seriously.

Well, with the suicides in mind it's not quite as funny...maybe they should have had it been just the argument...add Leinart and Bush also having arguments and that would be downright hilarious...they whole team would just break down and cry...

I suppose you could classify it as a rumor, even though she does GO TO USC and is in a field that requires FACTS AND TRUTHS.
Technically everything is a rumor if you look at it like that. How am I really supposed to know there was a terror attack on 9-11 maybe all those New Yorkers decided to pull a prank on the rest of us. Or maybe all those news anchors are coming up with the news off the top of their heads.
