I had already heard about it but I hadn't seen a preview until they showed it before The Dark Knight. I have mixed feelings on the subject. I really like Christian Bale and think he was a great cast for John Connor but at the same time I have no idea what the storyline for this trilogy will be beyond "John Connor leading humans against machines" which is kind of vague and the fact that there will be no Ahhhnold :(.

Like Friday the 13th and the Rocky movies, when I saw this preview at the Dark Knight, I just rolled my eyes. Enough already!

If it goes direct to DVD...I might be among the first to see it...

I have never seen one of the Terminator movies, but I wish they would die already.

Even though it looks like I'm the only one, I'm a huge Terminator fan!

I loved the Sarah Conner Chronicles last winter and I can't wait for the season to start again in September...but when I saw the previews for this new movie, I was stoked. I'm just excited to see what they do with the story when "Judgement Day" actually happens.

Are you serious? Never seen T1 or T2?

Never. Never had any desire to either.

Why? Not an action film fan. T2 is one of the top 5 action films of all time. The special effects from that movie were ridiculous.

No ones perfect, everyone makes mistakes. Yours are just bigger than the average person.

While on subject of terminator i'm still waiting for predator 3 to get out along with this baby http://www.startrekmovie.com/

Ehh. I find most action films disappointing, so I generally don't seek out the genre. And perhaps more importantly, I have never seen an Arnold movie that was worth a damn. I've also never seen any of the Alien movies or any of the Predator movies.

the first Terminator was awesome in that Ahnold plays the bad guy...um machine. the first 2 were good, IMO. The third was pushing it. I really don't know why they are making another one.

I haven't seen Alien/Predator either. However, Terminator 2 is one of the flag bearers for special effects. I still consider Star Wars the source for all of the modern advances, but Terminator 2 pushed the digital aspect of filmmaking to another level completely. T2 set the tone for the 90s in much the same way The Matrix did for this decade.

I looked this movie up and it doesn't look like James Cameron has much influence on the story or screenplay this time...honestly though, I'm just excited about the movie itself.

Exactly...I am still amazed at the special effects when I re-watch it.

I"m right there with you, except I have seen Terminator 2. I've tried watching all those others, but just couldn't stay interested.

I'll probably watch it even though Arnold isn't in it. I hope it's still a good one.

I can see it now, when Arnold finishes his time as the Gov., he'll make another Terminator movie and say, " I'm Bacccccckkkkkk. "

On the contrary, I thought Live Free or Die Hard was the best movie out of all of them:p
