Any guesses out there what the cutoff will be for 5A classification?

My guess is somewhere between 1975- 2000 enrollment.

I always hear that the 5A cutoff will be 5 students over what Highland Park turned in as their enrollment. :D

There is a lot of truth to that! I think the cutoff goes down to 1850 so more teams move up to 5A.

That made me laugh out loud... My secretary is looking at me funny now... Laughing at the computer screen is better than panting I guess...

I cant wait for those *bleeps* to be 5A. I hate HP. Those *bleeps* "fix" their numbers every year. Its a freaking conspiracy I tell ya!

That makes a lot of sense because of the new 4 team play off B.S.

Yeah, its so funny driving through that area and seeing how huge that neighborhood is and how their school is only 4A....smells fishy to me.

My grandfather actually went there and started alongside the mighty Doak Walker and Bobby Layne.

I hate that too! What's next...."Hey! Everyone goes to the playoffs! We don't want to leave people out because it makes them feel sad!"

From what I have read and heard, HP would give any 5A team a run for it's money this year with Stafford running the show.

Looking at Public High School Review... It said Tyler John Tyler has 1967 Students and Tyler Lee has 2527. It has recently change now and Lee is still growing. Were getting alot of TJT Students for football program but now there probably going back to JT.

With all the new enrollment figures done, what is everyones take that there will be several new districts formed in 5A for 2006.

Man that would be great if they can make it perfect 2,000 but not 1,999 for 5A, so we know where they are and how fair they can be for 5A. 1,965 is not good and I want that exactly to be 4A.

I don't know if you were reading the other threads, but when Garland played Highland Park in 1999 (the year we won state most recently, they were our only loss), they had some rather rude banners like "Cash beats trash" and "Your moms clean our houses"...classy people out in HP...

Isnt their QB the top rated QB in the country? I think someone told me that recently...

It wouldn't really surprise me...they run a spread offense that allows for massive QB action...

there will be the same 32 districts, but they will be arranged differently. the lswc will take a big hit and et will look different too. all districts will be at least 8 strong, per the directives out of the uil. otherwise we could see a 1-9 team in the po's. 2-8 will be bad enough.

He was also MVP of the Elite 11 camp. He is the real deal with a big time arm. Not just the system on this one.

"Beat Garland" or "Pluck The Owls", would have been just fine. There was no need to cross class barriers and "talk down" to their opponents. It was just a football game.........show some class.

I think Garland fans had signs that said "Daddy cant buy this game" or something along those lines... good times.

It was not appropriate for a football game...Or really any other event where children were the focus...But that is still funny...

Kids can be harsh and I am really surprised the school let that kind of thing go on... I can recall being the "poor" kid at the private school. Dad would drop us off in his crappy little Mercedes..no.. Dad would drop us off in the beat up old blue '76 F-250 with no tailgate and the back full of cow feed and tools..
If it was raining, we'd all (3) have to pile in with mom and dad.. That's 3 rednecks and 2 ladies inside a single cab pick up.. No tail pipes, so everyone was sure to hear it...
As much as I liked my school, I was kind of glad in 8th grade when I got to go to public school with the rest of the poor kids...

I can't stand arrogance like that. Plano West did something similar last year when they played Plano East. That's why we enjoy beating them almost every year. Only lost to them once. :D

I totally agree. Shows a pure lack of any decency or class. Schools that display that sort of classless behavior should get an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty from the refs.

We need to re-write some of the rules! :D
