Yes as long as "spoiler" is on there in the title.
I loved Two Face - GREAT makeup!! Especially the rolling eyeball - reminded me of something from Beetlejuice.
Ledger was a maniac - I LOVED him! The part in the nurses dress was just crazy...especially when he stopped to use the anti bacterial cleaner on his hands.
Poor Christian Bale was almost background noise in this one but he is a good Batman. He's going to be at Comic Con too so I'll be able to tell him face to face what an awesome movie it is next weekend:)

I thought Ledger as the Joker and Eckhart as Dent/Two Face both did awesome jobs. Bale was very good as well, but like CyFalls Mom said, was in the spotlight way less that the first.

Can I make a prediction?
I think the Riddler (if they keep making more after this one) could be that angry businessman who wanted to reveal Batman's identity, who also happens to have red hair. I dunno, just a thought.
I wouldn't see why they wouldn't keep making more sequels because the last two were fantastic.

Ledger kept talking, and i kept on wishing I could remember everything he said, because I was rolling.
"You complete me" had the whole auditorium laughing. that whole dialogue with Batman in that scene was very profound to me in addressing the corporate world and the US in general. When people are comfortable, they have no need for the dynamic folks, whether they are friend or foe. When the crap hits the fan, the strange ones step up and take on the risk of leading people, some for good, some dubiously.
The hand sanitizer was funny.
combing his hair back with the knife was devilish and daring.
not backing down one iota from the thug that thought he wanted a piece of The Joker was awesome too.
Could anyone else beat Michael Caine as Alfred?

Bro, you said earlier that Ledger was only "ok". So i don't think you have a very good grasp on what good acting is. on another note : really the only think i hate about bale is that his Bruce wayne reminds me of his American Psycho character, and that for some reasons bothers me. Hmmm - sounds like the democrats man:cool::cool:
As far as some of the other comments - We were saying on the way out of the theatre that Depp needs to be in the next one and then we were trying to think which character he should be. Mad Hatter didn't come up but that's a good one.
Michael Caine is awesome as Alfred and I, too, was pissed when Gordon died but I noticed they called his wife "Barbara" - that was his daughter's name - aka BATGIRL.
Mr. Adam West has no equal just as Shatner doesn't. I've met Adam West in New Orleans once and he is the sweetest, nicest person but he can tell some wicked Burt Ward stories (apparently Robin was a bit slutty:eek:). He makes fun of himself also to where you know he never takes any of it too seriously. Again, no equal but I loved Michael Keaton's of all the others.

As far as new villians/characters for a possible sequel, look for Selina Kyle(Catwoman). With Rachel gone as Bruce's love interest someone is gonna have to step up and in the comics his main love interest was always Selina.

Saw it this evening... outstanding. Eckhart was superb and this may have been Ledger's best performance to date. This film was dark, disturbing and profound. In other words, it was the complete opposite of what Tim Burton made Batman into and that is a VERY good thing. I had hoped more would have come of the Harvey Dent/Two Face character. There was an entire movie in just that one character.
BTW, the Joker in the nurse uniform walking away from the exploding hospital was maybe the best scene in the movie.

I loved the nurse scene. When he was walking out and the hospital wouldn't explode it was really funny. I wish they wouldn't have killed Dent/Two Face because they could have made him into a full featured film but it was a fitting end. I don't think there is going to be another Batman from this director and certainly not Christian Bale as he has signed a contract to produce three Terminator movies.

With all of this hubub about Katie Holmes playing Rachel so terribly, I thought she played a naive inexperienced newbie assistant DA pretty well in BB.
The Rachel Dawes in TDK reminded me constantly of Princess Leia. Those chubby cheeks, the dark hair, yeah, she reminded me of Luke's sister. She's not hard on the eyes, but I didn't think she played the character any more deeply than Holmes did in BB.
Although she is a pivotal character, she didn't make the difference for me in either movie. in TDK, she would have had to have had the best performance of her career just to keep up...

I thought Jim Carey showed tremendous potential as The Riddler in Batman Forever. I wouldn't mind him seeing him in the same role, but reimagined in the hands of better writers.
I was also a big fan of The Penguin character and wouldn't mind seeing that role in the hands of a Paul Giamatti, Philip Seymour Hoffman or Bill Murray type actor. Also, if anybody saw Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman in The Prestige, then you saw how well those two actors played off of each other. Jackman could make a great nemesis to Batman.

Sh*t happens. There is still a Dumbledore in Harry Potter, they didn't just make him disappear.
The Joker doesn't just go away. Ledger is gone, not Joker. I'm sure there was an "alternate ending" that killed the Joker that they could have gone with in the final cut, if you want to speculate their intentions. But they didn't. Which means there's a good chance he won't just "be gone" without a trace.
Like I said, they'll, at a minimum, show him in jail.

Katsu has high potential, mostly because his ties with the Asian crime scene which this movie did have within it. So it wouldn't be to hard to tie him into the movie, plus i believe in the comic world he was training with Bruce in the beginning.

Supposedly Nolan took Ledger's death very hard and personal because it is believed playing the Joker took an adverse toll on Ledger's psyche and may have helped lead to his accidental overdose. With Nolan at the helm, I wouldn't expect to see the Joker back except maybe in a brief cameo using unused footage from The Dark Knight. I certainly wouldn't expect to see another actor come in to play the Joker in a significant role.

I think Nolan is going for the "realism" factor and for that reason alone I would rule out Mr. Freeze, Clay Face, etc. I would put my money on The Riddler or possibly even the Scarecrow in a larger role.

Did anyone read my post earlier? Catwoman WILL be in the third movie if they make it. I would bet on the riddler too. If you know anything about Chris Nolan you can rule out: Mr. Freeze, Clay Face, and Poison Ivy.
Wouldnt mind seeing Bane done RIGHT! He's the only villian to ever beat batman.

i do recall a quote within the movie about his armor upgrade "Even stand up to a cat" or tiger or something of feline breed.
So if we hit theory Crafting Katsu has the easiest tie in since so far he is easily able to be tied into the first 2 movies.
I wouldn't rule out freeze, clay face had a small roll in the series so kiss him bye.
As far as mad hatter and the riddler go, they have potential depending on who plays them.
Bane would probably be a good use for like the last movie.

idk..based on Gordon's last line in the movie, it kinda sounds like they wont be making another Batman for a little while
I loved the nurse scene.
They signed on to make a 3 movie sequal when they made batman begins. There will be another.

I went and googled batman 3? and this came up:
http://www.cinemablend.com/new.php?id=8738
Also I kept looking and I couldn't get a link that worked when I tried it but originally the plan was to have the Joker come back along with Harvey Quinn but IDK how this will play out now that Heath is dead (RIP). Now IDK about yall but imagine starting the 3rd movie off with the 2 boats blowing up. They never really showed what happened cuz they were stranded in the water with the power off. The Joker never hit the button but what if somehow Two Face came out and saw the remote as they were unloading onto transport boats and he hit it and they exploded and then the title comes up as they show him laughing. That would rock!
If anyone wants to watch the movie again on the internet pm me and I can give you a site

Somebody pointed this out on The Shag, but this could be a clue to the third movie. Think back to Batman Forever. The Riddler's real name was Edward Nigma... E. Nigma... "enigma" which was a key to the movie and finding out the identity of The Riddler.
Now, the accountant (or whatever he was) that tried to blackmail Wayne Ent. and then later went on TV to reveal Batman's identity, was named Mr. Reece. Say that name fast enough and you get "mysteries". That could be nothing, but it could be something too as I could certainly see that guy becoming the Riddler. I also don't know if it was a part of the original Batman canon (as I did not read the comic books), but in Batman Forever, The Riddler started out as an employee of Wayne Enterprises. Like I said... could be nothing.

I suggested earlier that the accountant guy could be the Riddler in the next movie because he knows the identity of Batman and he has red hair...but this puts the cherry on top! I saw Batman Forever yesterday so I know exactly what you're talking about. Props.

The whole story behind the riddler was to find out who batman is though. To him that was the greatest riddle of all. It would not make sense if they make a guy who already knows the identity the riddler

He knows who he is the little look that him and bruce wayne exchange after Lambo wreck says it all....thats just what I think though. And another thing to point out is what JTK said. Edward Nigma was the name of the riddler I would think the director would stick with the story as much as possible even though he changed the way two face was made.

That's true but one of the best suggestions I think I've heard for the next Batman villain was Michael Emmerson(who plays Ben in Lost) as the Riddler.

That's something to think about.
I have Batman Forever recorded I will watch it in a few.
OK what if they decide to bring back Robin?
Now the earlier Batman & Robin movie ruined the Batgirl identity and said it was Alfred's niece I think. The original was Gordon's daughter right?
What if they twist it up and put the boy as Robin and base the next movie 15+ years into the future.

nolan already said robin doesn't fit in his world.
if we're talkin about speeding up time, they could (since bale is doing T5) et it where bane breaks batman back, then nightwing takes over ect.

Good. I really don't picture Robin in these Batman series...I think it would destroy the image they created in the last two movies.

I feel bad for Robin though. He's is given a very bad rep among the avearge person, when in fact he's serves a very good purpose in the Batman comics.
Because of the 60's t.v. show and Batman Forever and Batman and Robin most people view him as some snobby, loser who makes VERY corny lines, when in fact he's the rock that keeps Batman from going over the edge.
Anyone here know the Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, and Nightwing story lines? good stuff
