Hey Farmer .... I spent the last 4 days in Boston & enjoyed the city & great weather. The Mrs & I spent Saturday & Sunday in Marblehead with old friends and Sunday afternoon moved to the Four Seasons across from Public Garden. While the Mrs worked on Monday & Tuesday I toured around .... Fenway, Back Bay, Cambridge, Beacon Hill, The North End, Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market Place all the way to the harbor..... I must say with all of the roadway infrastructure moved underground with the Big Dig, it is very impressive what resulted ---- so pedestrian friendly.

Awesome pictures.
Thanks for posting those.

Boston is an awesome city and sounds like you hit up all the spots.
You're right about it being pedestrian friendly. A true walking city. The parks they have constructed since the finish of the Big Dig are amazing as well. I love how you can walk from The Fens to the Harbor in about 20-25 mins as well as the ease of use of the "T". I love the subway system there. Only negative about Boston is getting into and out of Logan.
Glad you all enjoyed your stay there and you got the tour of Fenway. Wish you could have taken in a game there.

Boston is pedestrian friendly because it costs too much to park!:p It costs about $35 to park around Fenway. I was able to get out of downtown pretty fast last Monday, though.

You don't drive to a game at Fenway.
Part of the experience is enjoying the ride on the Green Line and getting off at Kenmore and walking up to Commonwealth and seeing the Citgo sign as well as hearing all the banter going on inside the trains.

Loved the old North Station by the Garden over Causeway. The North End is amazing, I have never been to Europe but to me its what I would picture Europe loooking like. Very neat and some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten. Of course in those days you are speaking of, the old Central Artery (I-93) was still alive and kicking and boy was that thing an eye-sore and nightmare.

If you're me and also goof off at night, you drive to the game so you can do other stuff after the game!:D Besides, I didn't have to pay the $35.

I might hate Citgo, but I still like that sign in Boston!:D

I got to see that nasty place about 4 games before they stopped playing there. Kidd, Mashburn, and Jim Jackson were still Mavs at the time!:D
