Need to develop a winning tradition as they have an all-time winning percentage of 28%. The past two seasons were vast improvements upon what came before! :)

i think the only good player they have is stephen salinas, united south has the same kind of running back.

Everyone is wrong! I have a cousin who plays for Del Rio and Coach Hoffman has completly changed the culture down there. They have some quality players returning and a good system working. Southwest isnt what they are cracked up to be and same for LUS.

I just still don't get how to justify talking up a team that had 72 points thrown on them in the playoffs

If you think all they have is Salinas you don't know much about SW.

What has held this program back, since judging by their records posted, they have been terrible historically?

they finally picked up the program. and now starting to dominate this coming year. If your also involved in planowest baseball............so we meet again. were gonna start winning state championships like southlake carroll did in football.......back to back baby!

Well, you obviously had a pretty good season getting to the state semi's in baseball, but you hit a brick wall when you met Plano West. :cool:

But it definitely makes things better knowing the team that beat you won the state championship and was a top 3 team nationally. Hopefully we shall meet again in baseball. It was a great game, but it was hot as heck.

I could be wrong, but the two HRs in the game were both by Plano West (Donald Plant and somebody else, can't remember)

in our game there was i think one, then there was another one also a junior, that almost went over the fence but fell a little short. BARELY!!!

That game was basically bombs away for us. We put up like 12 runs. I'd have to pull out statistics to see how many homers to see if you're right. I'm ordering the game tape of the Laredo United Game, plus the state championship vs SLC.
