An anonymous poll from NFL coaches said they would rather have Chad Johnson than TO:

http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afcnorth/0-0-16/NFL-head-coaches-prefer-Chad-Johnson-over-T-O-.html

Even though TO has had his moments in the past, he has seemed to quite down recently. On the other hand, Chad Johnson has been creating uproar with the Bengals for a while now.

If you HAD to take Ocho Cinco or TO today, (based on play making abilities and behavior) who would you pick?

for this season- TO by a landslide

As a player for the future of my team, Ocho-Cinco.

Seeing as though TO has 4 years over Chad, no argument there.

Even if they were the same age i'd still take Chad Johnson. It's easy to see that all he wants to do is win and make everyone around him better. T.O. will never live down the Eagles situation. It proved his true character, no matter how many times he gives us those fake tears. Plus he's slower than Johnson.

Which is a valid statement, but Chad didn't do any better the past couple of seasons with his teammates either...

I think both of them are very entertaining and fun to watch, but Chad has torn apart the Bengals too....it may not be an exact reflection of what TO did in Phily, but the point being is that they have both had their moments;)

you bought into the media and their love for D. McNabb? The only thing they couldn't say this time( versus the MNF/ Limbaugh deal) is that TO was racist. McNabb is a "me" player and the media as propped him up as something he is not. I do not care for the guy. TO called him out on it. I thoroughly enjoyed T.O. stirring it up on the Eagles. It certainly gave him a few credits in my book to make up for the Texas Stadium 50-yardline Star Incident. The only way he gets that totally expunged is leading the Pokes to another Lombardi ceremony.

You cannot question what TO does on the field, and it's amazing how the BS has stopped off the field when he became a part of a great organization. Even in the first season in Dallas, he tried to pull his crap, and leaders on the team told him to shut the hell up and play. He was smart enough to listen. TO has won me over with his play on the field.

i agree. it is neigh on impossible to fake a full season. to needed a good organization, and he has blossomed. i can't say for sure what ocho will do in a good spot, so i'd go with to, at least for this year. he keeps himself in such great shape, he may be good for 3-4 more, too. i wish some of that work ethic would rub off on bad/fat roy.

Umm....actually it was Bill Parcells wanting to do things his own way (which he has the right to do as HC) that made TO pull his same old TO crap. They both have dominant egos but as a player you gotta respect the HC's authority which TO did not. Parcells retires and when Phillips(who isn't the "drill-sargeant" type like Parcells) comes onto the scene he conveniently has a superstar QB who has now realized his full potential. So now, TO has a star QB who can get the ball to him and a more compromising, agreeable coach. Who wouldn't be happy with that? Nobody told him to shut the hell up and play. If anyone did, it was Parcells which TO obviously didnt listen to just like he didnt listen to Andy Reid. And if the players had called him out....well you know what happened when McNabb tried that. The thing with TO is that winning isn't enough. Not in SF, Philly, and it won't be in Dallas. He has to be THE MAN all the time regardless of what he says in interviews. With Tony Romo on the rise, it will only be a matter of time before those two clash just like he did with McNAbb.

No, I bought into TO's own words at his press conference in 2005 with Drew Rosenhaus by his side.

shocking news here: just because ESPN didn't report it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Several leaders on the team including Witten and Glenn reminded TO about the big picture. There were a couple of games last season when Witten had his 8-10 catches and over 100 yards and TO had 3 catches for 27 yards. In the past that would have been meltdown city. You tell me what your sports media buddies say about that... they don't want TO to behave correctly because he is good copy. Sorry, boys...

What has McNabb ever done that demonstrated great leadership? I guess crying about how hard he has it as a multimillion dollar earning QB versus the white multimillion dollar earning QB's must put him up there in some people's books. I simply see him as a crutch-man, and TO did too.

Andy Reid? Are you serious? The guy cannot even manage his own home, much less a football organization. What a freaking joke!

Has Tony Romo demonstrated some kind of great leadership? Not yet, IMO, but he is an up-and-comer. I would guess this year and next, this team becomes his. There are other guys on the team that have stepped up as leaders, and TO has matured as well.

Heck, if anything, his team implosions in the past should endear him to Cowboys fans even more. he took down the 49ers and Eagles. Those are 2 freaking outstanding candidates for destruction!

Hey Cowboys, holler back at us if you win at least one playoff game this decade. Even being the No. 1 seed in this playoffs this past season didnt help. Even having T.O. there, and him having one of the best seasons of his career didnt help.
This was supposed to be the season that the Cowboys could be taken seriously when the post season rolled around........ still waiting.

Andy Reid came to the Eagles in '99, so did McNabb. Since then, they have 5 division championships, 4 consecutive NFC Championship game appearances, and 1 trip to the Superbowl.
Since '99 Dallas has had 4 head coaches, 4 consecutive playoff losses, and 4 seasons that they couldnt even acheive a winning season.
The old " Cowboys are the Greatest " talk is worn out and tiresome. ( And it's not even time for training camp yet )
If you would just admit the " Cowboys are Mediocre " then I might agree with you.
