Bastrop??

I noticed a bunch of Westlake and Hays fans on this message board so i thought i would ask. What type of wepons do they have? What type of offense do they run? What players should we be looking out for? We have two common opponents and it seems like a tale of two teams. They got beat by Round Rock if i'm not mistaken and we thrashed Round Rock. They also gave you guys a good game. Pretty much to sum that whole thing up what can you tell me about Bastrop?

Keep an eye out for HB #4 Ryan Lincoln, he absolutley tore us up in our game, we could not stop him it seemed like. Had 154 yards, only has 499 on the season but he could go big in some games. They killed us with speed speed speed, but that's only becaues our defense is pretty slow. They are definately not a team to take lightly like we did and we ended up in 3OT's with them.

As a Lion transplanted in Bastrop, I can tell you this much about their offense. They will run and run and run the ball. Bastrop has been known as a running team.
They are the classic underdog team though. Just when you think they are going to lose, they come back and surprise you.

Their pass defense is pretty good...they have pretty good cover corners but if you can run you can beat them....their LB's will fall for the play action but don't miss many tackles...offensively they will move the ball....they are loaded at running back and have a solid offensive line and will score points....I don't think you all will have much of a problem with them....they will put up a fight but I see a 35-17 score...they have a great kicker too!
