The punishment will not affect Guidry's pension or benefits, but, as it stands now, he will not receive his retired police commission

and then to top it off...

Riley, in what some in the Police Department call a move to boost morale, recently announced that the department would revert to powder-blue shirts, probably by the first of the year.

What a cold slap on the groin.

It's absolutely pathetic, instead of doing what they are paid to do, they are wasting their time and money investigating somebody who wore the wrong colored shirt. It's mind boggling how these people still have their jobs

Who cares? They are stationed in New Orleans where I KNOW they have other things on their hands to take care of instead of punishing their own veterans for stupid reasons.

You are correct. However, it's clearly a political move, because if it were a problem, they would have reprimanded him 3 years ago when the uniform changed. He peed in someone's cornflakes and now he's paying the political repercussion for voicing discontent. It happens all the time. I can't tell you how many times my family has sued the City of Pasadena for employment issues.

Whoever was resposible for this enormous waste of time and money should be lined up and given a roundhouse kick in the face by Chuck Norris- c'mon, wearing the wrong uniform shirt? a verbal reprimand would've been enough-especially on his last day on the job. Those guys need their manhood card revoked!idiots!!!!

Bingo. This isn't "casual friday" where you can wear whatever you want whenever you feel like it. If he wasn't punished, next week you would see everyone wearing powder blue,black,navy blue, etc.
