Brett Favre is my all-time favorite QB. But this flip-flopping has to stop. This has gone on for the past 3 off-seasons and its getting really old. The packers drafted Brian Brohm, thinking Farve was gone for good. It's all ridiculous.

I think he's done. He was prob joking around and the media took it seriously

Whether or not Farve is the one that is flip flopping, or it is just the media having a field day with offseason rumors, Brett is in the most awkward position right now if he really does want to come back. He is putting the Packers in an awkward position as well. You would think that once he "retired" everyone in the organization has been preparing for Aaron Rodgers to take over, and now that has gone all to waste? I would really love to see Farve come back, but I would hate to see him pull an MJ and go to a different team...but it is really hard to see him coming back in a Green Bay uniform again.

I get tired of the teary retirement goodbye's only to hear that they want to come back. Go AWAY already. You were a great QB but it is time to move on.

If he is in fact struggling with a decision, someone close to him needs to tell him to let it go. You can't play forever. He's got a family and some cute little kids he can spend time with now.
If he wants to play and the Packers GM/Owner obviously don't want him to play... why don't they release him from his contract? I have talked to several of my Packers friends and all have voiced an opinion that they don't mine if he comes back to play but DON'T want him back on the Packers. Most of the fans and team have apparently started looking towards the future with another QB and don't want to prolong the inevitable so Favre can chase another ring for a year... only to retire again.

The brett favre problem is easy, all packers have to do is say anyone want brett ? it will cost you next years first round pick. Problem is solved.Damn I should be an nfl general manager.

It's not that easy to "just trade Brett Favre". Nobody is going to give up a first round pick and at the same time why would Green Bay pay Favre 12 million to sit the bench. You forget yes he retired but he led a pretty young team to the NFC championship game last year and almost the Super Bowl. The fact is this...if Green Bay wants to rid themselves of Favre and his drama then just let him go and release him. They don't want to do that because they really don't want to move on and are scared because they know he will go to Minnesota and they will have to face him twice. If they are truly ready to move on and if all he will be in Green Bay is a back up then why are they so afraid of him going to Minnesota if they feel Aaron Rogers is better? If I were Favre I would file reinstatement papers and show up to mini camp. If they do not allow him to come to mini camp then file a grievance with the players union. Either way I would make them pay me my 12 million until they were sick of me.
