This thread will serve as a good place to post 40 times that are either:
a) Made-up
b) Dreamed-up
c) You're not quite sure, but it sounds good.
d) Some "draft expert said it - I think".
here are some good fictional times:
4.29 for anyone in Texas hs
4.35 for almost anyone in Texas hs
4.4 for a big rb
4.6 for any non-skilled position player
4.5 for a posssession type wr
4.8 for a lineman
Good luck - and good fictional posting.

4.8 for linemen on both sides of the ball or just offensive?

Let's be reasonable and say offensive. There may be a 210 lb. DL that can scoot.

My son is a ligitimate 5.8. Probably why as a 6'3" 285lb junior guard he won't get much varsity playing time this year. I told him if the lead ever fell out of his pants it would break both of his ankles.:D He is a good hard working kid though. But no one will ever think his 40 time is fictional.:)

Back in the day...... the hourglass posted legitimate 4.3 times in the 40 for virtually everyone on my high school team.

I thought grayowl used stonehengeI wasn't aware that Stonehenge was a time-keeping device... I really didn't think anyone had figured out its use yet.

No, my jazz run is a tad faster, like a 4.18.

Technology advances at a fearful pace. Besides, sundials are only accurate to the nearest second. It takes a finally tuned hourglass to measure accurately to the tenth of a second.
