What has gotten into the Falcons? Knocking off Cy-Fair 26-19. Did Cy-Fair underestimate this Falcon team or did the better team win this ball game?

Comments?

It's 17-5A, does anything ever make sense? Every year there are a bunch of teams in the playoff hunt with one week to go. It takes a major article to sort out the possibilities. Looks like there are six teams still in it.

Since I'm totally confused at this point, can someone tell me if Cy Falls has a snowballs chance in you know where to make the playoffs? Everyone has beaten everyone and it seems that almost everyone has 3 losses!!! Usually, I can figure it out but not this time:confused:

Miscues in the kicking game lead to 13 JV points. Cy-Fair just got beat, plain and simple. Hopefully this will wake the Bobcats up. Congrats to the Falcons.

After some big plays by Fair I thought it was certain they would take this one. I guess the Falcons decided to wake up and play finally hopefully it is not to late.

yea, congrats to the falcons for sure, i think cy falls needed them to win that game to stay in the playoff hunt and we're glad they did win it. but does anyone know the senerios that would put certain teams in the playoffs?

Yes, I am curious about the scenerios for the Falcons. I believe they need a couple of teams to lose and a win on Saturday against Langham Creek.

From looking at the current standings, I see it this way.

Fair is in.
CC is in.
If JV wins, JV is in.
If LC wins, TB is in.
Falls is out.

175a. Ain't it great?! Preseason favorite is out and 2 of the cellar dwellers a few weeks back are fighting to get in. Go figure.

Could end up with five teams at 5-3. Probably won't happen, but could.
Typical finish for this competitive district. ;)

Wouldn't Tomball be in if Cy-Fair lost also, because Tomball beat them earlier in the season, and with 3 losses?

Yes, if Cy-Fair loses then Tomball would be in. I think. I don't know. I just hope the Bobcats take care of business and get in. :)

One thing I forgot to reply to: The better team did not win this ballgame. However, on this day the team that played the best won. Cy-Fair is the better team, at least in my admittedly very biased opinion. All the credit to JV for getting after the Bobcats on Saturday afternoon.

accually from what i've heard which i heard from a somewhat reliable source and believe to be true for cyfalls is that if they win this week vs. magnolia and JV beats Langham then they will be in i'm not going to put my life on this being the scenerio but i am preety sure that this is how it's gotta be for the eagles to break through to the post season this year

That cant be the situation, becuase the top 3 teams that are supposed to be in the playoffs beat falls, Tomball, Fair, and Cy-Creek beat them. So i dont think thats possible. I thought if JV wins then they're in because they beat us. (Tomball)

I had heard that too but wasn't sure it was true. We beat JV but they beat Tomball who beat us. We have also lost to Fair and Creek and those are our 3 losses. All would be 6-3. I can't recall It's going to take a mathemetician to figure it all out  I also heard we were completely out of it so who knows. Maybe we'll flip a coin like in FNL!!

but see i think where the trick comes in is with the tiebreakers between JV, tomball and cyfalls and in that group of three cy falls was the only team to max out points against one of the others meaning that they beat one of them (JV) by 17+ points which i think gives them the edge, lol i guess we should all just wait for the chronicle to tell us their version of the truth which may or may not be right ;) haha

Why is this district so confusing every year?
