That is going to be awesome I bet, and most likely louder. If that one sideline didn't have the extremely curved 2nd deck then you could close it off completely when/if they close off the other endzone. I used to think DKR was lame with all of that open grass between the seats and the playing field, now you are right up in it.

Off topic - anyone know if they are going to have the new DKR in NCAA 09?

Didn't think so, one more year of the ugly DKR.

Starbucks and TGIFridays at the ball game?

I'll take Slovacek sausage at our stadium where the lights don't work:rolleyes:

That SEZ needs to be filled in ASAP. Once it's enclosed the noise will be incredible I'm sure. It'll be one of college football's best venues.

On a related note, the new Boone Pickens Stadium will be in NCAA 09, which is pretty exciting.

idk.... you have a place to dump off the misses, and get 3 1/2 hours of pure football.

There really isn't an architectural cure for UT's lack of noise. They will need a major shakeup of their fan base to cure that issue.

The Zone at Kyle Field does a great job of trapping noise, but that section itself is tame, the nature of the type of fans there. It's the 40,000 students that create the noise, and until UT cleans out the blue hairs and state capitol muckity mucks, they will always have a prosaic atmosphere.

They need to quit trying to be covert about it and just change the logo...

The South end zone will have temporary bleachers this year again. Probably less than the 9k that was in there last year, but more than the 4k that I have read. A permanent structure of the same type goes in next year.

I got to see it last week, and it is simply awesome.

I don't know about all that. Its not going to be Tiger stadium by any stretch of the imagination, but their will be plenty of noise.

im callin you on that.

i was there this past year in section 15, and DAMN was it loud. i honestly couldn't stop the ringing in my ears for about 4 days. (and im a drummer)
the simple fact that the stands are (can't remember) about 15 yards closer (in the sez) makes it insanely loud now. then the upper deck west and south?

get out of here if you don't think it will be loud.
