Tell me your own point of view of how this district 29 matchup will be. United has the fastest guy on the team at running back Roger Rueweler, key defensive end Aric Hagy at 6'4", Corbin King with alot of experience at middle linebacker, Rion Smalls with a very high vertical. All i have been hearing is Stephen Salinas at Running back for Southwest. Is that all they got?:cool::rolleyes:

The same thing that happenes every year to larado is going to happen when they play a SA team.all they need is Sephen Salinas in district 29

Stephen Salinas was runnin' all over JUDSON until he got hurt....he'll run all over United for sure.

There are plenty more guys besides Stephen. This years team is alot faster, bigger and more physical. And thanks For acknowleding that Judson was Getting RUN over untill that Mishap.

You can run an hide for so long, I guess he trip an fell is the reason he was hurt, it had nothing to do with the BOOM that was lowered on him? I forgot who won the game between Judson and Southwest?

there were alot of other factors that played ito it and yes he did get hit. yes judson did win but not because of an offensive explosion. coaching mistakes is what killed southwest. a team not knowing how to react without a star player added to the fact. but thats neither here nor there.we are looking forward to this season.it looks to be better than last year. I already started saving a few thousand dollars for gas money to make those long road trips. I may even use my kids college fund.

the only times judson scored an offensive td was on a punt fake inside the 20 that went bad.that was a coaches mistake! the other offensive score was a field goal. the rest were defensive touchdowns on turnover. when Stephen went out half way through the 2nd he had 140 yards rushing. it was 10-0.im just saying count your Blessing in this case southwest needed to be prepared to lose a player like that it was poor coaching.not that elliott is a bad coach he has taken this program to the next level but preparation was not made.Look at how madison overcame their running back being out halfway through the season.
What great team effort, offense scored some then the defense score some, they should count their blessings that the JRoc's defense didn't have a chance to play them earlier.

I see you're using that tired arugument about state championships that most Judson fans use. Your last Championship in 2002 isn't going to help this years team. I would like to see a debate with Judson fans that doesn't involve "how many state titles does your team has" That gets old.
My team has 0 in football. I'm not saying he's better than Marcus Wright but he was running all over yall until he got hurt. That's a fact. You can't argue that.
I'm not from Southwest. I was just giving my unbiased opinion. ;) I could care less about who won that game.

I don't think he was better than Marcus Wright but he was putting up the numbers before he got hurt. It doesn't matter if he was better overall, but he would have been better that day had he played 4 quarters. But we'll never know.
I don't know about the QB for NS. I didn't see him play.
FYI- I used to live in SA for the last 4 yrs so I've seen plenty of SA area football.

Our D can contain better runnings back than the one you mention and prevail then the outcome would have been the same with a Judson victory....He didn't trip and fall to get hurt the D put him out so we do know the D stepped up to do their job.

What does Judson have to do with this besides RR stating the fact that Southwest was beating Judson until he went out? Nothing. I don't care how many Judson has won and was given, it's totally irrelevant right now.

they are no longer feared by everyone
they are no longer daddy to all other teams
they are what they are
a good team, that overachieves.
and has good coaching and dedicated fans
they struggle at times
and they thrive under pressure.
they are what they are
a class 5a football team from converse texas
they are judson
they are good competitiors
and they(the players) are humble and well mannered
the coaches are respectful and helpful
the fans are loud, overzealous, but for the most part well behaved and well liked.
judson is a great program with a storied past, but that is exactly that...the past

SW should roll through this new district as much as JUdson should roll through27. As for that girl always complaining about roosevelt, they should be pretty good with Devan Haywood at Qb. after all his mom and dad are both Dragons!! Hope fully Judson Will Get the CHANCE to Play SW. If they dont insert foot in mouth!!

How do you figure they are going to do that??? SASW only has 4 Laredo schools on their schedule? The others are now 4A so there is no chance SASW will see all 7 Laredo schools.
Other than the long bus rides i think SASW is in a very good position. They are now essentially a valley team as they will play Valley schools the first two weeks of the playoffs if they make it that far. From what I have seen of United and several other Laredo Schools is they like to throw the ball. SASW defense is going to be slightly faster this year than last year so if they can learn to pass protect they should be ok. United will have it's hands full with the SASW running back. Elliot will make no bones about it he is going to line up and try to run it right at you till the clock stops.
SASW going back to the dome for the classic should be a lot of fun. G-Town should give them a good game. SASW should beat Clemens but the Steele game might be tight. I would say SASW goes 2-1 in pre-district play with a loss to either G-Town or Steele.
The united game will defiantly be the game to see who wins district as both teams are talented. My money would be on SASW as United has to travel to play in the "hole in the ground"
One side note SASW has been around since the 50s and has never won two playoff games in one season. That will change this year as they should go at least three deep if not further.

I thought it time for me to drop some knowledge on you guys about those SW Dragons. 1. SW will be the district champs period. 2. Stephen Salinas leads a stable of awesome runningbacks. Stephen is all-state, his two back ups could be all-district if they get enough carries. 3. This years SW team brings in more speed, athleticism, and play makers than in school history. I keep hearing all this crap about Judson being a storied program, and those things are of the past. People need to witness that SW is about to be a San Antonio area powerhouse (i.e. Div. 1 players, etc.) for many years to come. I welcome all of you to witness :) The Professor hath spoketh....

Could care less about that, Just another *** talking crap!!! That is all I here about the past even from you, SV holds a 3-1 edge on Judson I beleive that is also the past.
