I believe Roosevelt will make the playoffs this season. They aren't ranked in our top 25 because they haven't made the playoffs in five years and have struggled for consistency. The last time the Rough Riders won a playoff game was 2001. The last four seasons Roosevelt has gone 6-4, 4-6, 5-5 and 5-5.

Ultimately, there was no way (in our opinion) to justify ranking Roosevelt ahead of the teams we do have in the top 25.

We tend to put most of our stock in programs who are consistently involved in post-season football, and that have some success after the tenth game. Roosevelt has been missing that consistency for the better part of this decade (especially when compared to district rivals like Smithson Valley and Madison).

Last year, Bowie had 48 Seniors. They had 43 Juniors last year (21 Varsity, 22 JV). The numbers will be close, but only 21 or so have Varsity experience.

Highlighting Tivy as a San Antonio team is a bit of a stretch. Rough Riders will have to prove themselves like the past to get into the top end mix.

Okay, the premise of the question is faulty from the start. No offense, but if DCTF and 5ATF agreed 100%, would these guys have the number of visitors they do? They put their predictions out there. Dave Campbell's put theirs own there. And don't we spend hours on here discussing how rankings mean about as much as the microchips that store them? Which season would you prefer to have last year? SLC's season wher they started #2 in the nation and their season ended in the 13th game? Or Lake Travis' season where they started unranked and won a AAAA State Title?

I've seen some teams return 8 starters both ways. Depends on the success of those players the year before. If they were 9-1, 5-5 or 0-10. Puff Riders still have to prove themselves against the likes of SV, Madison, NB, etc.

The matter at hand however is that if youre consistantly mediocre, youre prolly not gonna be ranked very high, regardless of talent. I do think Roosy will be better than most think tho so good luck to them (except when they play SV:D)

A very dangerous team.But if they do not play more disciplined and play for 4 quarters nothing will change.They won't be abble to beat the good teams with just athletics.I just think their preseason ranking is a little high along with Warren's.Honestly I think only Judson deserves to be in the top 20.
