That's a game that wasn't. If Cinco beats Strake and Elsik beats Hastings, it would go to a tiebreaker. I guess point differential.

If Cinco and Hastings end up tied, the tie-breaker is a coin-toss, thanks to the Alief schools and Strake voting no on making up the games. A coin toss will determine the fate of 80 kids' entire season.

if it comes down to a coin toss, I bet the loser of the toss sues the other school or district in state court to force them to play on the field, which I think is the only fair thing to do. those two schools are the only ones in 19-5A with a chance to make the playoffs as the third seed, so making them play a "play-in" game on tuesday is a lot better than waiting on the flip of a coin.
